Angela and all the staff were absolutley beautiful. Perfect location for skiing with lift access on either side of the hotel. I even got a surpise birthday cake :-) Myself, Sophia and Luca had a perfect time there and hope to be back again next year.

Just had a week of skiing here - family of four - comfortable rooms (cleaned daily). Games room & board games were good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Well stocked bar. Easy ski / boot storage and access to slopes. Breakfast and dinner were very good - big portions and a good range of tasty options. Put breakfast on extra early on our last day so we didn't miss it - thank you!!

Spot on! Efficient organised and always ready to assist. Warm clean and cozy, rooms were spacious basic and amazing view both sides of the building. TV, Fridge bathroom clean and refreshed daily. Few sockets for chargers but coped. handy boot room and skies space. Accessible from slopes both walking and skiing. Superb staff. Food served looked amazing but being fussy eaters we struggled some days, small taster portions might help with less waste. Would highly recommend and hope to return soon.

A wonderful stay. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the food was amazing and plentiful, the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was great. We could ski to within 5 yards of the ski storage, and just a few yards back up a slope to pole to a lift. Would definitely stay again (large family group, 5 children under 10, 7 adults, skiers ranged from first time to expert).

We loved it here. Angela at reception is so kind and caring. It’s a joy to stay somewhere that you feel the people genuinely care about their guests. The hotel is basic but it has plenty to offer. Our kids loved the games room and they also sled down the hill in front of the hotel and built snowmen in the fresh snow. We were 3 families travelling together. Angela was so helpful to us on our first few days when our kids were just learning to ski - she went above and beyond and we are so grateful. For my daughters birthday they provided a cake and candle out of nowhere and made her day extra special. The hotel has large rooms and the balcony is fab - amazing views. It’s not a flashy or fancy place but it’s perfect for what we needed. The food is delicious and plenty of options. The staff very accommodating. We will be back next year.

1st time skiing in Italy 60/58yr old, "intermediate" skiers Not party animals Can't speak Italian........... What an absolutely fabulous place to stay for our trip. I think, as far as skiing goes, that's subjective. Depends on how you ski & what you prefer. For us it was perfect. 4 days of, virtually, empty well groomed piste. Wide open slopes. Last 2 days it snowed & visibility was poor so more challenging. The hotel.... Ski in, ski out. Right next to the bottom ski lift. We booked through Crystal and, on arrival at the hotel, were picked up by the ski hire dude, taken to get our gear then driven back down. We just had to leave our stuff in the ski/boot rooms for them to collect when we'd finished the week. Great service as well from them 👍 The hotel itself is very traditional. Big rooms and en-suites, open reception area with bar and fire. One thing I will say is we had an "eaves room" which was nice but it had a massive beam right across the room that I had a struggle not hitting my head on every 5 mins. And I'm 5.6 😂😂😂 Would stay there again though. Same room, everything. No danger. I think, & it's very much to their credit, the main thing about this hotel is the staff. They are absolutely brilliant. Every single one of them. Seemed to be a lot or returning guests & we most likely will as well. The food was gorgeous. Took us the first day to get a grip of the process because it's not self service but once we cottoned on it was brilliant. Appetizer of the day then a series of courses depending on your personal taste. Salad bar Soup (every soup was lush, esp with croutons & parmasan 😜) Mains (the lasagne & 3 cheese gnocchi, my favs but the succulent pork on sat night was immense too) Dessert Breakfast was continental but also with a hot choice of toast/scrambled eggs and sausage/bacon/boiled eggs (not dippy) Breakfast at 8.15 followed by dinner af 7.30 for us so we had a late afternoon focaccia/panini next door by the ski lift with a few drinks as well to keep us going 😂 The resort itself is quiet. Absolutely zero nightlife so Pila isn't for the young, free & energetic. As I said, apart from value, location, cleanliness, food & ambience it's the staff that make this hotel a place worth staying. Grazie mille a tutti per esservi presi cura di noi. Arrivederci

Lovely authentic hotel. Warm, comfortable, friendly and ski to door. The staff are very welcoming and extremely helpful. Rooms are a good size and the en-suite was clean and well stocked with shampoo, etc. All rooms have good views: either across the Aosta valley looking towards the Matterhorn and Mont Blanc or across the Baby Pila slope towards the rest of Pila and the ski runs. The food is good. A continental breakfast plus a great variety of pastries and fresh fruit. The evening meal is five tasty courses; with options for the premier and second course. There is a pool table, table tennis table and table football. Bats, pool balls, a great selection of games can be hired from reception. A really great place to stay and ski.

Personale gentile e disponibile.

Overall very good for the money: details below Food Overall food was very good, every day there is a new menu always including an appetizer of the day, followed by a pasta or carb dish (often three options) then a main meat option (often two to three choices). There is a salad bar, a soup dish and dessert changing every day. Also at dinner you receive wine included (0.5 litre per room) and two large bottles of water at no cost. Rooms The rooms were large and clean. There is a large en-suite and each room has a television and a desk. Good standard for the price. Staff Staff were amazing and very accommodating. No request was too much for them. Often would come to help immediately if we had issues and the reception was staffed all day. Same friendly faces every day. Hotel The hotel has a games room. This contains a table tennis table, pool table and table football. There is also a good selection of board games available behind reception to play in the evenings. Bar The hotel has a well stocked bar and drinks are very reasonable prices. Cocktails are 7-10 euros each and gin and tonics range from 7-13 euros each depending on the type of gin. Beer is also good value Skiing The hotel boasts ski in ski out which it mostly is. There is a magic carpet lift outside the hotel which takes you up to the main ski school area. The chamolet chairlift is right outside the hotel too and can be walked to easily. Overall good location for skiing
