Le Vasa Resort

The resort was typical Samoan with great presentation and facilities. The staff were exceptional. The basic cabin was extremely basic - very small with difficult access to even the small double bed. Do not book Cabin #18 Prices are high but consistent with other resorts in Samoa. Also not relevant for snorkelling.

Some places you nevr forget and this one is one of them

This hotel is beautiful and is in a beautiful location. The staff are very friendly and helpful. And it’s very close to the Ferry terminal and the airport. But there are a few things they really need to improve on. The breakfast was very poor. For the money they charge they couldn’t even include an egg. It was just fruits, toast and oat meal. There are no restaurants or shops nearby to get any food. So you are restricted to eating at the hotel restaurant. The restaurant food is ridiculously priced for what they are offering. I had 4 meals there and I wasn’t impressed with any of the meals. Other than that, we had a great stay. It’s a 45 mins taxi ride to the city.

This is a beautiful spot and will be going back at the first opportunity. It is peaceful and relaxing. I went with my best friend and we had a blast getting to know the staff and interacting with them. They are all so lovely and got to know a few of them really well. We did a few tours and our driver and guide from the resort was lovely, very knowledgeable and a local. We learnt so much about the Samoan culture and the places we went, the island, nothing was too much to ask. If you want simple, peaceful and to feel like you are on a pacific island here is the place to go. It's simple not fancy, could use a little up-keep but nothing bad. Very homey. We had lunch one day at a fancy resort and we didn't feel like we were anywhere we couldn't visit at home. The meals were large and SUPER yummy. All this from only 4 nights! Absolutely loved it. I can't say enough positive things.

We were delighted with the warmhearted atmosphere shown by the staff - in particular Phyllis, Lupe and Angel. Lovely laidback environment with stunning vistas out to the ocean. Fruit platter on arrival was great. Beautiful fale.

We were looking for somewhere to stay for one night after landing and Le Vasa offered the best price in the location. We let them know we'd arrive late as we were coming in on the 8.30pm flight and had to pick up our car etc. They said no worries and their security staff let us in. Lovely gardens and grounds, lovely staff, room was great with great aircon, comfy bed, nice and clean, hot water in the ensuite bathroom, fridge and tea/coffee supplies. Was nice and quiet despite the room we booked being joined to the reception. The property was well-placed so that we could snorkel at the Giant Clam Sanctuary on the morning high tide before getting our lunchtime ferry to Savaii. Breakfast wasn't included in our stay but we opted to have lunch there after our snorkel - we had chicken curry with rice and coconut-crumbed fish with taro chips and both were good. Quick service allowed us to be on our way to the ferry on time, also nice clean bathroom

we had a fantastic time at Le Vasa resort. the staff was brilliant, kitchen, cleaning, duty managers, couldn't fault a single one of them. When we had a small issue, it was taken care of immediately and above and beyond. The bungalow we had was quite close to the road, but not too much noise. The advantage was that our deck in front of the bungalow was positioned above the water so we could see the fish right from the deck. The bungalow was very clean, a bit dated but that added to the charm and the bed was good. Small fridge to keep your drinks cool. Le Vasa is situated on the westerns side so when it is clear you are able to just sit on the deck and watch the beautiful colours. The grounds are lush and tropical and kept immaculate. We only ate elsewhere once, but it didn't't come close to the food at Le Vasa, plus it was more expensive as well. Being closer to the road also meant it was easy to catch a local bus, an adventure in itself and worth to do, and there was a small shop 50 meters down the road. If we go again, we will be sure to book there again.

We had 2 nights in a unit right on the waters edge. Very private location with parking beside the unit. Very clean and functional - although the wifi struggled due to the short distance to the common areas. Staff were fantastic and the dining area overlooking the pool was great. A gem of an accommodation.

It was our first time staying at Le Vasa and it did not disappoint. Our room was spacious with a large balcony over looking the water…Amazing!! The gardens around the resort are immaculately kept. The pool wasn’t massive but was clean and the bar was close by to grab a cocktail or beer and just laze by the pool. The food was delicious…probably the best raw fish and taro chips we have tried in Samoa and the BBQ night…yumm! If you’re looking for a place to stay that’s close to the airport definitely try here. We will definitely be back!
