The environment is amazing. The store upgraded us to a view room for free. However, the navigation was not very accurate at first. After arriving, just contact the front desk and wait for the receptionist. 🙂

This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in for 1,280 yuan. It's called a hotel and it has 6 rooms in total. The lonely tree is located on the hillside of a relatively clean town and it takes 2.3 kilometers to walk down. This hotel does not have any service staff who will send emails when checking in, but there was no email information when I checked in, so I was very passive and contacted Ctrip immediately. I received an email from someone I didn't know who was staying with me that day. Others staying at the same price faced the sea and had a good view, but I faced the slope. Why was there such a big difference? The room is much smaller than Ctrip's standard area, about 12-13 square meters, which is very untrue. This time, Ctrip exaggerated the size of Australian tourist hotels. I think Ctrip should reflect on it. I am not the only one who has such feedback. The room was in extremely poor hygiene, with cobwebs and dust everywhere. There are no waiters in the hotel, and a restaurant should be considered the largest event venue. I advise friends who are going to Australia's Great Ocean Road not to stay at this hotel in a small town. There are many motels in the small town that are much better than this one.

Super beautiful accommodation. There are wild kangaroos on the front lawn. The scenery is amazing and you can have a bird's eye view. Except for the entrance, which is a little difficult to find.

It's a good homestay. The manager is Chinese, so it's nice and convenient. The house is on the hill (4 minutes by car to the center of the town), so you can see the whole town and the coastline. You can often meet outside the balcony🦘

The location is very good, very satisfied

Stayed here for one night, good location for seeing a lot of the Great Ocean Road and accessing Otway National Park. Check in was slightly unusual (wouldn’t recommend arriving in the dark) and house very cold when we first arrived, but heaters were good. You can hear every movement within the house but luckily the other guests were all very quiet. Stunning views in the morning made the whole stay worthwhile, lots of kangeroos grazing made for an amazing experience with a gorgeous sunrise. Would recommend for this :)

when we arrived at the accomodation, I did not know what rooms we were in, so I called the number written on the door. Would be helpful to message customer about assigned room perhaps. I am not expecting these things to work perfectly of course. When I needed to use the shower later on day of arrival, it was running only cold water. I phoned the same number again and told the guy who answered about shower. I tried it a bit later and it worked on barely warm for a few minutes, then cold again. Tried the shower again next morning but still cold. Phoned the owner again, left message for them, did not get a reply. The guests I bought with me liked the location and view from the deck, but a bit surprised the owner couldn't address the issue with shower satisfactorily. regards Mr Greenwood

STAY AWAY!!!! Worst experience I had in Australia! Over priced room. Place is built of paper you can hear everything, even people taking showers in there room. Room that we were given, was look at a dirty backyard. No ventilation, bathroom window sealed, and main window can’t be opened because of bugs, and it has no net on it. Bedsheets were dirty with stains, and even hair on it. You get one pillow per person, worst pillows i slept on!! We paid 320$/night.

Made a BIG MISTAKE booking this place on the strength of older pictures and favourable reviews on bookings.com, not realising the sunny views and high ratings were collected pre March 2019 when it obviously changed hands and entered terminal decline. What we found was a rotting carcas of a once healthy property and business. Where to start... First, Tracey confirmed my booking with a smartphone picture of a PC screen delivered by SMS. It showed Tracy's email as a hotmail.com account. No proper booking system. No domain name. Dodgy. Arriving at the drive off the sealed road, no sign! Nothing, but a timber frame where the sign must have been in the past... what are we coming to? Apollo Bay's version of Bates Hotel? Met by a young man with limited English. In the room and the common areas, neglect everywhere, Windows and fly wires filthy, lovely sunny BBQ deck I saw in the pictures turned into a sheet washing and drying area, BBQ long gone, shared kitchen putrid, sticky everything, uncleaned in years, rubbish strewn around the property, I could go on. In the room, also uncleaned for ages, rotting windows, main door lock broken, rear door lock loose, doona covers stained (sure hope it was soy sauce but who knows), TV had no free to air reception, no tea or coffee making facilities (doubt I would have used them if they had been there), no bath mat, odds and ends stool and desk (kind of), constant musty smell. Outside, rubbish in the bushes, rusty fittings. To be fair, the sheets and pillow cases were washed and clean, and our bathroom was maybe the cleanest area I saw in the entire place, about what you might expect in a budget room. Clearly, the business model is to do sheets, towels and bathrooms, do bugger all else, and trade for as long as the bookings keep coming on the strength of the good work and reviews of the previous owners. Until it gets condemned. Don't just take my word for it, look at the most recent reviews here and make up your own mind. Thankyou Tripadvisor for allowing independent reviews that do not require booking thru the site.

I’m at a complete loss as to why this place has a review score in the 7’s. It deserves much higher. It’s fantastic. I am continuously travelling in Australia, and I am always on the lookout for unique places. This place (as far as I’m concerned) offered the best views of Apollo Bay. It wasn’t on the beach. It’s sort of off the road a bit, on acreage. BUT it’s elevated and the ocean views are fantastic. The rooms are spacious and clean and priced for differing budgets. It’s a guest house, so some of the areas you walk through are a bit cluttered. BUT. I think some people live here all the time, and, in a guest house, if the main communal areas are tidy (which these were), you get my vote every time. Just fantastic and definitely a ‘go to’ place for the future

Beautiful house overlooking the bay, several rooms , rented out individually with a common area. We stayed in Rm 1, very small, no storage but does have a small ensuite, no TV in room, comfortable bed, the common area has a kitchen, and TV, there was a fireplace but no wood so were freezing, completely rugged up in order to watch TV. Other rooms were much bigger, with TVs. Definitely good value and beautiful location

Went for a fishing trip with a few friends and decided to book the entire dwelling for the weekend. What a mistake. The house is in appalling condition structurally. In terms of cleanliness, I’d expect better in a prison. The dishwasher was full of unwashed and mouldy dishes when we arrived! Whilst searching for a phone underneath a bed we discovered multiple dead vermin. There was a mouldy pice of sourduurh underarm the couch. And they weren’t doing the cutlery right at all, hardly a thing there to eat from. The bins we left at the bottom of the 800m winding and steep driveway. There was no bbq which featured in the pictures. Clotheslines hung at an extremely dangerous height and cleaning products strewn throughout different rooms. Washer and dryer not available for use and no dishwashing tablets. Complimentary house sliders were a great touch but only enough to drag this dump from a zero star to a one.
