The whole stay from checkin to breakfast was wonderful. We had an evening meal in the bar, the food was amazing and the service was great. We had a very comfortable nights sleep and then arose to an amazing breakfast. We will definitely be returning.

Bijou room, large comfy bed. Mirror in bathroom was very high I could only see the top of my head! Likewise the extractor fan switch was out of reach for me ( I’m 5ft 3) Very welcoming staff. Great to see Blues Boots. Pleasant evening meal. Welcoming staff. Breakfast was great.

I would like to say how friendly the pub is, especially Lou. She always makes us feel welcome!! The whole place is great & all the staff are so welcoming. The landlord is next to none, you will never meet a nicer bloke. Highly recommended. 5****

I booked as I had meetings in the area. A great pub! The staff are friendly, food and rooms were very good. Great Wi-Fi also which meant I could continue with work whilst in there conference room free of charge. I can’t recommend enough. Will definitely be back !

Didn’t stay but what I can say is that the Licensees (Will & Michelle) DO NOT PAY THEIR STAFF. This is beyond wrong on all levels. People need to live and have bills to pay but they are avoiding all contact as the staff try and reach out. Pay your staff.

Did not stay as we were unaware the rooms where available. However we had a fantastic Sunday lunch. Staff could not be more accomodating and the pub atmosphere was brilliant. Very friendly locals and they had a live music. Singer was also very good not overly loud and a good variety of material.

My meal, fish and chip, had been covered in salt from the kitchen. When I mentioned that I don’t have salt I was told “That’s just the way we do it” The excess of salt ruined what was probably a nice meal. Disappointed with response from the landlord.
