The hotel seemed to be working through some things. When I initially called to make a reservation, the girl on the phone was not super helpful or friendly. We got disconnected pretty early on but there was no callback from the hotel. When I called back to make the reservation, I mentioned “I just talked to you and was trying to make a reservation”, there was no acknowledgement from the worker at all. No customer service. When we arrived we were told they’d had computer problems and their housekeeping was behind, no rooms available at check in time. My only option was to check back in. When I did check back in about an hour later, the lady at the front desk abruptly asked if the first floor was ok, as if I was putting her out to check in. She was clearly overwhelmed and maybe overworked but she wasn’t friendly in the least. We finally made it back the room and while I think (and hope), the beds had been changed, there was a hair and a bug in the bathroom floor and the previous guests leftovers were still in the fridge. The fan and shower light also did not work. The carpeted floors throughout the hotel were in serious need of a deep clean. Overall, our stay was ok. And aside from the the girl who checked us in and took the reservation, all of the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. I truly feel like a lot of the issues we faced were just due to a lack in staffing. I don’t foresee the need to stay in Ardmore coming again, but given the need, I would give it another try.
