Overpriced for what you get. All the furniture looks like it was ordered from Temu. Just looks cheap and tacky

The room has a private swimming pool, and the kids are so happy. It is very close to the beach, just a short walk away. The beds are clean and tidy, and the service staff are friendly.

From start to finish we loved our week at the Cavo Orient. We were shown to our junior suite with sea view and we’re not disappointed. A big room with super king sized bed, two sofas and a balcony looking out over the med towards Kefalonia. Heavenly. The staff were without exception friendly, helpful and efficient. The room was spotlessly clean with regular fresh towels and bedding. Breakfast was good. We ate at Vardiola’s up the road and Porto Romulus which was superb and only a 5 minute walk. Just up the road is Sun and Sea Zakynthos who were fabulous and ideally placed for car hire, taxi and trips. Such good value and wonderful service. For a quiet getaway, Cavo Orient is hard to beat! PS tiny comment: relocate the mirror in the bathroom so you can see in it to dry hair/shave!

Beautifully appointed hotel with breathtaking views of the Ionian Sea. We had a great room with sea views at a reasonable price. The staff were very friendly and helpful where possible. The hotel is perfect if you want to stay onsite or hire a vehicle which they offer. There is a small supermarket, 10 mins walk away which is handy. Tisvili a chavy small-scale egg n chips Benidom, is about 3 miles away €20 each way in taxi (unsafe to walk on narrow unlit windy roads with every conceivable type of vehicle driving like its a race track.) Zante town is 8 miles away and €30 each way and well worth a night. Taxi drivers are nuts!!! The bit that really spoiled my holiday was the air-conditioning in the room on a night. It's set at reception (don't be fooled by the modern wall controls, they're just a display). The room temp minimum is 23⁰c and the aircon is turned off at 12.45am and turned on at 5.45am, during which time the temperature is far higher than 23⁰c (would guess 28⁰c with no air. The locals don't see an issue with your bedroom being in the late 20s!!! You can't open the doors because the air-conditioning won't come on, so you cook in the room. I pressed reception multiple times, but they can't lower it below 23⁰c. Their accountants cost saving ruined my holiday as I couldn't bear it past 4am any day of our week there. So much so I slept outside on my last night on my porch, angry. Glad to be home, shame, it's so close to being a great hotel, really great the food is very samey the drinks in the restaurant are watery but that aircon! We'll not go back.

We visited at the end of August as a family of 4. We booked a private pool room in the annex on an all inclusive base. First of all, let me say that we had a fantastic time. I will try to be objective. We are a French/British family and we have done similar holidays over the years… This is a very chilled hotel. A real mix of Europeans and no crazy loud entertainment until 1 am. If you want to party, it’s probably not for you. We booked this hotel in particular for the private pool, and it did not disappoint! We were in the annex ( room 904) and we had the sun on the pool most of the day. With a little wildlife in front which was great as we got to see hummingbirds. We loved the pool. The highlight of the holiday. I would say that the private pools in the main building were far more overlooked and not as much sun exposure. We never had to fight for a sun bed. Plenty by the pool and the beach. The beach is pebbles and I would recommend some beach shoes. The water is lovely and warm and plenty of fish to look at. The all inclusive food was good for a buffet. A lot of choice. Sea food, fish, Meat, Greek food and the usual fries and sausages ect… One dinner included at the a la carte restaurant which was nice . The room was very clean and spacious. The bathroom is only separated with glass doors so the toilet situation was rather funny at times. As a mother of 2 , I have given up on privacy a long time ago so it didn’t bother me. The walls are very thin though. We were lucky that our neighbours were quiet people. The staff were lovely. Dimitri and his Team at the restaurant were so warm and friendly. Same goes for the pool staff. Always a kind word for the children. My daughter insisted on saying goodbye to everybody as she had such a blast chatting with everyone most days. There was only one thing that was an issue for me. As mentioned we were in the annex wich is a 5 minutes walk. I knew about it and I have no problem with that. I was expecting a walk between the olive trees to go to the main building, but it turns out that we had to walk on the road which I didn’t love. To be fair, there is a car to take you up and down if you don’t want to walk. I normally would let my 11 years old walk back to a hotel room on his own, but in this case it felt unsafe. Saying that I would still choose the annex over the main building as it was much more private.

Just returned from a week's all-inclusive holiday at Cavo Orient. After reading some of the reviews we were a bit apprehensive about the accommodation, food and service but we found it all to be fantastic. We stayed in a family room with a private pool in the Annex. This is about a 5 min walk away from the main hotel complex/pool/beach. We personally preferred this as it was very peaceful and we enjoyed the walk through the olive trees in the evenings. If you don't want to walk it, you just call to reception and they send a private car within 2 minutes! The accommodation was really lovely. It had a double bed and 2 single beds with dividing doors. Great for a bit of privacy for the teenagers! The private pool was such an amazing addition with sea views and Kefalonia in the distance. The room was cleaned and beds made every day, without fail. Water in the fridge replenished, toilet rolls, bins emptied etc. Room had tea and coffee making facilities, mini fridge, robes and slippers. Even a bottle of wine on arrival! (Bring bottle opener though!) The main hotel was lovely. Pool was warm, loads of sun loungers at all times. The beach was gorgeous. Clear, warm waters and my partner even snorkelled with a turtle! Location was perfect for us, out of the way of the tourist areas and lovely and peaceful. There was a supermarket at the top of the hill which was handy for buying snacks, extra bits and bobs. The hotel food was absolutely amazing. We've been to a few all inclusive hotels and this definitely had the best quality and selection of food. Too much really! Definitely put on a few pounds! The all-inclusive drinks were to be as expected. The beer was quite weak and the cocktails made from the pre-made mixers. Only improvement on this front would be to include better cocktails for the all-inclusive guests. The staff were fantastic. So friendly and couldn't do enough to help and make us feel welcome and comfortable. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to return one day.

Nicely located for sea views. Lovely beach bar. Only 1 shallow pool available to all guests. The “a La carte’ restaurant was only available to guests for 2 if the 6 nights we stayed. The offering not that of a resort. . Although some staff were exceptionally friendly many weren’t- some of the poolside bar staff were deliberately unhelpful , specifically refusing to get change for a cash transaction after we’d checked out. Still awaiting a response from management following an enquiry made before and during our stay. Some safety issues such as a large crack in the balcony at the poolside. Bedroom shower water leaked onto the tiled bedroom floor - very slippery and only towels available to dry the floor.

Average place, if you are in the annexe it's a good 400 metres up the road, past other properties and villas, it's not connected. It means you can't get a drink easily unless you want a fizzy drink or fruit juice which is self service in the annexe but no glasses provided, just mugs and wine glasses from your room, not exactly 4 star. It's far enough for then to provide a free shuttle service all the time. The private pool was a lot colder than the main pool or sea due to it being in the shade for half the day. Food average and buffet style. If at the pool bar and all inclusive you feel a bit like a second class citizen, any one paying gets there food and drinks brought to them and proper cocktails made, but on AI it comes out the machine. The same goes for the food at the pool. It looked like a 2 tier system, bearing in mind AI customers have just paid up front, it's not free. If AI you can't use the beach bar which is still in the grounds unless you pay. Staff were great though, place seemed clean. Doubt I'd return unless I fancy some Brussel sprouts for breakfast, still never worked that out but did see a bloke from Liverpool having some.

The Poseidon hotel is a nice hotel in Laganas. It’s nice if you are a group of friends who want to go out to the bar stripe as wall at the beach. The hotel is located at the beach and have a big pool, so it’s something for everyone. The staff ware really nice and helpful. And it was a good variation of food and drinks.

Very private room and the room is clean and lovely, the bed and pillows also. The food is delicious and views from the hotel pool are stunning! Can’t complain about anything!!! Please don’t listen to bad reviews it’s paradise!! 100% would come here again and again.X

Well, having stayed here for a week it has to be one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Having worked in the industry myself I’ve worked and stayed in many hotels. The staff, food, cleanliness all exceptional. The view is simply breathtaking. This hotel should definitely be five star plus. Ive never stayed in the same hotel twice but i am going to-make this one an exception. All the staff work extremely hard. But i mostly dealt with Simo, Kiki, and Dimitrius who were efficient and conscientious at all times.

5 night stay all inc for 3 of us celebrating our birthdays. First of all the hotel is the only complex in kypseli. Over an hour on the transfer bus & last drop off from airport. Nearest place for shops restaurants & bars is a 15 min taxi ride. If you choose a suite with own private pool you should get a sea view 'or you will be a 10 min walk up hill away from the complex (that was bizarre) Rooms were presented well & cleaned each day, but the lay out for 3 adults was also bizarre & not at all practical. The shower, sinks & toilet was in the same room' just behind frosted glass doors. Zero privacy. Food was nice. Staff were nice. Disapointed at the beach & sea. Sunbeds were all on grass, hardly any beach & what bit they had is just full of rocks & stones. Very hard to walk on, also in the sea it was completly full of huge rocks. Very hard to stand up or not bang knees & feet on. If you go all inclusive be aware that your drinks especially cocktails are from a vending machine & discusting. They told us if we wanted real made cocktails we had to pay 10€ We were discusted, as we had paid £1000 each for 5 nights & had to pay for certain drinks & also had to pay at the beach bar where all alcoholic drinks were 10€ each soft drinks 4 € They said you couldn't take drinks from the pool bar down to the 'so called' beach beds & it was a few minutes walk up quite a few steps to get drinks at the pool bar. The pool snack bar which opened for a couple of hours when the restaurant was closed, was shocking! The tiny selection for the all inclusive was terrible. They have 2 menus one for all inclusive & one for paying! Bearing in mind we HAD paid £1000 each for 5 nights. They made us feel like poor people almost like we were on a holiday with a groupon voucher!! To buy any crisps/chips they were 6€ Not available at the snack bar for all inclusive people. I would not reccomend this hotel Or kipseli in general. & I would not return even if it was offered to me for free.

This is a beautiful hotel, but the food was awful, and the cocktails are terrible for 10euro each. They don't allow you to bring in food or drink from outside. The bar man at the beach pool was lovely, always smiling and would wish us good morning everymorning and always chatted away about places to go and see on the island etc. The staff at the upper level pool where nice but seemed under pressure all the time even though it was never busy. We tried the buffet one night and yet again staff lovely but food was just disgraceful. We stayed in room 401 and the cleaning ladies where absolutely amazing, always have a warm smile for you.
