This lodge outside of Arusha, Kenya in the hills has it all. Beautiful bungalows, hot water, great food, a boat ride and colobus monkeys and cranes. There are also some trails to follow. Also a unique gift shop. We’ve stayed there 4 times and they never disappoint.

I visited Ngare Serro both as a guide & Business Owner. I hoped that I would sit within the property as my guests explored around. The Security called on me that I am personna non grata within the property and that was their policy. Well, I am not sure if such policy applies to the hospitality sector and if it does it is such an outdated manner of dealing with your guests.

In einer wunderschönen Parkanlage liegt diese Lodge. Wir hatten einen Garden Room, großzügig, sauber und funktionell. Besonders nett fanden wir die unterschiedlichen Speiseplätze in mitten der Natur. Das Personal war überaus freundlich und sehr bemüht.

Établissement très agréable en pleine nature . Nous avons passé une nuit dans ce lodge et avons pu profiter entre amis de ce lieu magique pendant une journée avant le safari. Le personnel a été au petit soin , les repas délicieux . Nous avons apprécié ce moment hors du temps .

We (3 adults) stayed at the Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge at the beginning and end of our safari. About an hour from Arusha or Kilimanjaro airports. The grounds are beautiful and lush. You can walk around the grounds, take a relaxing boat ride or enjoy the pool. We stayed in a main lodge room and a garden room; both were equally comfortable. The Garden Room was very quiet, with your own porch. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, with lots of vegetarian options! Fun to watch the blue monkeys in the trees while you have breakfast!

Overall a very pleasant stay, enjoyed a boat ride on the water in front of the lodge which was very relaxing. Staff at the lodge were friendly and accommodating. We had dinner and breakfast at the lodge and enjoyed both meals. Grounds were beautiful and serene.

The lodge is very well located in the forest. We were a bit anxious when we took the road but what a surprise when we arrive : a nice small lake with a stone stair leads you to the lodge. Beautiful old building and park with only few bedrooms for intimacy. Food was acquisitive and team very friendly. No swimming pool.

We took a safari trip with Natural Habitat Adventures and happily for us, they use this lodge as a starting and ending point for the trip. We were so impressed. It is a peaceful, beautiful space with abundant wildlife (colobus monkeys everywhere! blue monkeys too) and bird life. The rooms are pretty and the beds are very comfortable. The food was excellent, and they catered beautifully to several dietary restrictions in our group of 13. There are nature walks, ponies and a small boat you can tour the lake with. The staff is lovely and helpful. If you are near Kiliminjaro airport and need a fabulous place to stay I HIGHLY recommend Ngoro Sero lodge.
