Coworth Park - Dorchester Collection

Coworth Park is an excellent countryside escape, conveniently located near London and easily accessible by train. The staff are warm, welcoming, and professional, making for a smooth and pleasant stay. The grounds are a highlight—beautifully maintained, peaceful, and great for long walks, especially at sunset. The dining at The Barn and the Drawing Room was solid, with fresh ingredients and a good variety. Breakfast service was efficient despite the busy main dining area. I was consistently offered a table in the Drawing Room, which I preferred (dining room was full and noisy both mornings). The breakfast manager deserves recognition for keeping things running smoothly. One issue—a hair in my meal—was promptly addressed with a credit to my account. Note: if you’re planning to dine at Michelin-starred Woven by Adam Smith, check the closure dates, as it shuts over the holiday season. I had really wanted to try it. The accommodation was excellent. My room was gorgeous, luxurious, quiet, and well-furnished, ensuring restful sleep. The bathroom, with its giant bathtub and heated floors, added to the comfort. However, the gym was small and basic. Given Coworth Park’s positioning as a world-class retreat, a more comprehensive fitness facility would be expected. The spa was the biggest disappointment. There was no sauna open, and the atmosphere felt clinical rather than calming as day spa should feel. The ultra bright, harsh lighting in the chill-out areas and treatment rooms was disruptive—softer, warmer lighting would significantly improve the experience. The spa staff were also not warm or attentive - some were just socially chatting at the front desk and it didn't feel 5-star. The treatment rooms also felt very clinical and it is confusing to me why white office-type lighting would be used so that it is a very hard, blinding wake up when the eye mask is removed after a treatment. Overall, Coworth Park delivers on hospitality, setting, and accommodations. However, improvements to the gym and spa would bring it fully in line with the expectations of a true luxury retreat. I have stayed in many luxury retreats worldwide and I truly wanted this experience to be memorable all round, but it was lacking in a few areas.

This was quite simply the best hotel experience I have ever had. I reached out to the team to assist me with my engagement plans to my (now) fiance back in November 2024 and was assisted kindly by Charlie from guest services. Charlie was at the end of the phone and email for all of my requests and nothing was too much. The team handled everything for me, including room decorations, personalised items and food/champagne in our room. The junior stable suite was excellent and beautifully made up and upon our arrival Raz was there to meet us. All of the staff were incredibly personal and kept the secret so well for me. The dining experience and grounds are exquisite and Coworth Park will always hold a special place for us, we cannot wait to return.

Our room (17) was absolutely beautiful. The staff were so helpful and friendly and very attentive, they are a credit to the hotel. We had a wonderful stay. The pool was great (a sauna and steam room would be a nice addition). Thank you all for making our short visit so so special.

We had an amazing stay at Coworth Park, we loved our lunch at Woven and Afternoon Tea, the room was very nice and we received lots of anniversary treats.
