Renaissance Asheville Downtown Hotel

The Renaissance hotel in Asheville, North Carolina, is in the perfect location. It's near all kinds of walking venues to explore from the hotel i.e. shopping and restaurants. The hotel is definitely older, but very clean. The banquet buffets for our group was outstanding as well as the meeting set up, Thank you Hynnic for taking care of our room set up and overseeing our banquets!! Also a big thank you for Sandy Stafford in overseeing our room drops, advancement in VIP rooms ready and delivery of their amenities ( good catch on the cork screws) prior to their arrivals!!! Not to mention playing bell woman. You really seem to lead your colleagues by caring and sharing. Only suggestion is maybe faster elevators. Other than that, all good

You should judge this hotel/motel fairly. It is obviously an older, worn property that shows its age and some warts. Management will point to investments they have made to improve the property, and they may still be doing so...but if I give this a 9 out of 10 rating, it isn't because the property is the Taj Mahal. That said, this motel is in an excellent downtown location. It is 1/3rd the price of other downtown hotels. So while this motel is pretty much no frills, basic accomodations - the value is undeniable. All the staff we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. There was plenty of hot water. The free breakfast, while fairly basic, is another money saver. Many downtown hotels do not offer this, and dining in downtown can get expensive quickly (especially when you are not alone, we are two adults and two teenagers vacationing - free breakfast saved us $40-50 a day if we had to eat breakfast out after tip). Also, free parking at the motel is another money saver when some hotels charge you $25 a day to park. If you like the idea of staying downtown so you can walk to see all the shops/restaurants/etc., but can't afford $200+ a night, you would do well to consider the Downtown Inn and Suites.
Elevation Lofts Hotel

My wife, daughter and I came to Asheville from Pittsburgh to work with Samaritan’s Purse in the WNC relief efforts. From booking to departing this was one of the easiest stays we’ve ever had. Their manner of “contactless” check-in was brilliant. The Loft is located in a great “artsy” area of downtown and is within walking distance to anything you could want/need. They have a 99.5% cleanliness rating and we worked hard trying to figure out where they lost .5%! The loft is beautifully appointed and well stocked with top of the line appliances, serving ware and furnishings. The city is still under a “boil water” stays, but a large water cooler was provided in our lift loft for drinking/cooking needs. It was honestly difficult to leave the Loft because we loved it. Would 10/10 stay here again and 100% recommend!
Fairfield Inn & Suites Asheville Tunnel Road

This was absolutely the best hotel we’ve stayed at in such a LONG TIME!!! It was very VERY clean! I usually am paranoid with dirty carpets at hotels but the carpet was like new and I found myself not even wearing slippers! The bathroom tile was like new as well. No mold or rust like one would often see at other hotels. I especially liked the hot tub!! The breakfast was nice with the usual hot food options. I noticed the staff was busy every morning wiping down the elevator buttons and at breakfast the gal was cleaning every little spill immediately. And the price was cheaper than most in the area at the time. I will definitely stay here next time we visit Asheville!!!!
The Asheville Inn

Stopped very late, minute+, looking for a last minute place to stay so I could catch some rest before driving further, didn't have my debit with me and had zero problem getting waited on and getting a room with cash. Had very comfortable beds and pillows, ac froze me out :), great shower with great water pressure, can't think of anything other than the very loud family next door that was anything less than pleasant. Friendly staff, ended up leaving my phone by accident and they put it in the mail to me that day. The rooms are a bit aged and small but they've done an excellent job keeping them fresh and updated and clean while using the space effectively. For the price it definitely exceeded what I expected and Im thrilled to have found this place by happenstance. It was the silver lining after a weekend of hell at Harrah's in Cherokee which ended up being nothing but stress, total inconvenience, rude staff, and saying goodbye to all of your hard earned money! My advice- Skip the ****** hassle and find something nice and adventurous to do in Asheville, and stay at Asheville Inn where you can put a huge chunk of your money toward other things!

Location was good, staff were incredibly friendly, and the breakfast was wonderful with lots to choose from. Only complaint is the walls are pretty thin.
