Unfortunately I’m not allowed enough characters to give a thorough review of this place, but suffice it to say there is a reason it’s the cheapest in Ashford. Poor communication and not at all professional. I arrived in Ashford with no communication on how to enter the property, and upon calling the office was informed that the room I had booked was occupied. To their credit, the staff did upgrade me to a unit across the street after multiple calls, but you really have to question their professionalism.
The unit I was moved to was accessed through a dark parking bay that could barely fit a small car, and there was indeed a small car blocking most of the bay for the duration of my stay. The unit is through a courtyard and a front door which you never really can tell if it is locked or not. The door to the actual unit is hanging on by a thread and it looks as if someone tried to break it down at some point: even when locked it is very loose. I was contacted asking if maintenance could look at the door while I was there, so maybe they were fixing that, but as I wasn’t in, maintenance couldn’t access the unit, so I have no idea if they were going to address that issue or not.
The unit itself is clean in the sense of someone who just kind of half-heartedly runs a hoover over the carpets and a damp rag over the kitchen. The shower has good pressure and is warm, but the shower head desperately needs cleaning/replacing. Seriously, shower heads are cheap, put some effort in.
