Coffee provision in our room
On going to the reception on Sunday evening, I asked where we could get two more capsules of coffee for the coffee machine in our room. The reply we received from the receptionist was very poor and not what we would expect fron this hotel. The reply we received was 'There is no more free coffee, you will need to buy any further coffee from the bar. A very disappointing experience indeed.

Helt okej hotell, det gav dock inte den lyxiga känslan som bilderna visar. Vi bokade en svit som var fint inredd men det var en del saker som krånglade, bl.a. fungerade inte hårfönen eller uppkoppling till tv:n och det rann ut massvis med vatten från duschen ut i rummet när man duschade. Städningen var inte heller på topp då det låg hårstrån från tidigare gäster kvar på golv/ i handfat, och det lämnades kvar skräp i rummet vid den dagliga städningen. Det stod även vagnar med gammal disk från room service kvar i korridorerna utanför rummen.
Läget på hotellet var dock perfekt särskilt om man vill ha nära till både TT Circuit Assen och stan. Det gick att hyra cyklar på hotellet vilket gjorde det smidigt att ta sig runt.

While the hotel is cute the service is atrocious. The front desk staff is unprofessional, disrespectful and rude. It's like traveling into the past century and encountering people with no service training and people skills. It is to the extend where I was not able to get a name of the rude personel. She refused to share her name because of "privacy" reasons while they have my passport, credit card and address. Even getting in touch with the manager to resolve the issue was an issue! And I wasn't given a name or a way to contact the manager in timely manner. Again, while the design of the hotel is nice, the staff experience puts an awful taste in the mouth. I come to Assen annually, will never stay at this hotel and will recommended everyone I know against staying in the future.

I unfortunately had a very bad experience at the hotel.
The reason being : the staff allowed itself to displace my belongings from my room without my permission. As a consequence, my arm clock got lost in the process. This is a huge violation of my privacy.
The reasoning behind their action was, as told by them, that I didn’t pay for my stay yet.
Whereas in fact it was one of their staff members that told me not to pay at my check-in and that I would be contacted during the week by one of his colleagues.
However I wasn’t contacted at all during my stay. Up to the moment when they decided to simply block my access card and displace my belongings.
When I went to the lobby, I, for sure immediately paid. But wondered why they didn’t contact me at all, but instead they chose to directly take my belongings out of the room. The staff person at the desk pretended that she had called me several times (when we checked at the call history of their devices, we could see that my number wasn’t called a single time nor did they try to contact me in any other way).
However, the manager contacted me a few days after my stay to apologize and to reimburse my lost clock.
