Hotels near Caminos del Naranco, Asturias

Firstly the reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful! And that isn't the case in all hotels! We felt very welcome. We were even offered a kettle and hot drinks making stuff - without us having to ask! We were given good advice about where to eat in town. The underground carpark is easily accessed and easy to negotiate, once we knew where we were going! Lift access directly into the hotel. Our room was clean and very spacious. Plenty of storage space and everything that should be in a hotel room was there. Breakfast was very adequate, although I didn't sample the cooked food. The waiting staff were polite and very helpful. Access to the city was easy, and although I think we would be challenged to be able to walk to the cathedral in 10 minutes (as advertised somewhere!). Allow at least 15 minutes, plus a couple of hours ”shopping time” on the way! The old parts of the city are interesting with little squares and occasional markets to be explored. What else is there to say? Very good value for money!

-stayed here for two nights for business purposes -the hotel is very central and you can walk to the city center and all restaurants nearby -the personnel is kind and nice -the gym needs investments, if you like working out on your business trips you won’t be happy with the equipment, a bit of age (I did a 30mins ride on the station bike and that could be exchanged to a new one for example) -breakfast is good and they serve some typical food from the region -bed is comfortable, the walls seem light as I could hear people in neighboring rooms

We have been staying from Saturday to Sunday. In the room we were only going to sleep on the 1.30 of the morning, when we felt a strong smell of tobacco from both coats and soaps, as well as a censor in the lower soap. In the morning I tell the reception girl the problem, who tells me that we should have said something to 1.30 in the morning and we would have changed our room, to which I answered I didn't know that that could be done at those hours The only solution is not to charge the parking, and they say if I send the photo of the saban, someone will contact me to give me a solution to the older. No one gets in touch and I insist again and the answer that I get from the management is that there is no solution to give now. We paid for a room that was not in a condition. What cleaning service. And let's leave the customers happy. I know where we won't go back when we go to Oviedo. Not even to the sercotel city of Oviedo, which is the same.

Recently stayed here for a few days. Location is fantastic as it is only a few minutes walk to the old town. However, if travelling by train/bus, it’s about 15 mins walk (with luggage). I appreciate and am grateful that they let us check in early (before midday). My room key card didn’t work the next day so had to get it renewed daily which was a pain (not with my travel companions key card who had a different room though!). There were a few steps into hotel reception and a few steps again to get elevator access- I think they should really have a ramp. Room is otherwise clean but a little dated. I don’t like that the hair dryer was attached to the bathroom wall and put in a corner where it’s difficult to access as the bathroom is fairly compact. Otherwise overall a pleasant stay.

We stayed here one night. Hotel was designed by famous architect Calatrava so impressive from the outside. Room was big, bed and pillows comfortable. Service was friendly and efficient. Amazing breakfast included in the price. The outside structure is showing signs of wear and could be touched up. The room itself had some signs of wear but did not detract from our stay.

Have no hesitation in staying here whilst visiting Oviedo. Modern building with fantastic staff who are very proud of their city, they are extremely helpful in advising god places to visit, eat and drink so that you can fully appreciate this lovely city. Comfortable bedroom , good reception areas and underground car parking. Would definitely stay here again on our next visit.

The hotel as a whole is a beautiful place in a wonderful location. The first impression was great. Friendly and welcoming check-in. However, once details come up and they are not resolved, it becomes annoying. Rooms lack basic amenities like tissues, cotton buds, cotton pads, nail file (amenities that are standard in a 5 star hotel). The same room types, which cost exactly the same per night, differ in the amenities that are available in some and not in others. We have 3 rooms of the same category. For example, there is full body mirror in room 203. But a mirror in room 202. (Same room type.) There is a long full-length mirror in 203 and 103 and there is none in 202. There is also a coffee maker in 202 but not in the other 2 rooms.. these are small insignificant details. The biggest problem is not the lack of amenities but the lack of attention because there is not enough staff. It's really a ”one man show”.... In the F&B areas. At the reception... no one answers the phone when you need reception and the coffee at breakfast only comes after breakfast has already been served... feel sorry for the poor staff, they are overworked. However when you need something done in the room... you can call and call, they might apologise but no other solution is given other than a room move. Which on a holiday is not very practical. The bathroom blinds in room 202 are damaged, no one even tries to fix it. In room 203 the windows do not open (faulty) maintenance does not check the condition... only solution is a room move... it would be nice for at least a gesture of finding a solution... I hope the people in charge read this because the place is beautiful, it has a lot of potential and it would be nice if other future guests could enjoy it and not be annoyed by small details that add up and become a burden during the stay.

Very ample room with a lot of space if you travel with kids and very good price/quality ratio. I cannot give any opinion on the breakfast since we did not book it. Very helpful staff. Location is convenient close to both Oviedo and Gijón and views are nice. You have space around for parking even in August.

I was only planning on staying one night, I ended up staying for three! My room was so comfortable and peaceful, and it had the most gorgeous view of the water and the castle. It is located near stunning beaches, lovely nature, and the incredible beauty of Northern Spain. I loved my stay here and I look forward to returning one day soon!
