Knights Inn

I feel that this Ctrip did not write clearly, this hotel is clearly a motel, but nothing is marked, we were dumbfounded when we arrived, the hotel could not see any hotel lobby, and it was directly open on the side of the road. The hotel, the first floor arranged for us, is equivalent to opening the door directly to the side of the road. It is possible for people passing by to pry at your door. The most important thing is that any information of the occupants is not required. How complicated the staff is, of course, there are advantages, the room can cook, the hotel is next to the supermarket, you can buy things to cook, but the advantages and disadvantages are obvious, depending on how you weigh, we can completely live in a four-star hotel, I didn't expect to live in a motel
Empire Apartments

Equivalent to the University of Auckland student dormitory, because the school itself is in the city center, there is no traditional campus, nearby apartments are used as student dormitories or rented to foreign workers. In the dead end, there is a steep road, and a nearby Okay Takeway is more cost-effective. It is about 15 minutes walk to Queen Street, which is a cost-effective choice. Don't stay as a hotel, just as short-term rent, there is no service at all, be careful when choosing a room type, do not choose to share a unit with others. If I come to Auckland again, I think I will still choose.
Piha Beachstay Accommodation

The outlook is beautiful, the room was lovely and clean. However, unfortunately we got the room next to the kitchen and it was very noisy, not well insulated at all. The kitchen is fantastic and very well equipped. The guy who booked us in was lovely. The only issue we had was that the owner charges 4% surcharge for using a card to pay which is a total rip off, especially when the payment is processed on line by them. The banks do not charge 4%.

I stayed at the property on the 5th February 2023, in Auckland for work. The checkin process was easy, the room was new, clean and pleasant But at 12.30am i was woken to somebody trying to get into my room. I thought they had the wrong room and would realise but then i heard the lock go and the door started to open which is when i jumped out of bed and stopped the person from coming through. He was standing there with a key in his hand and a bag. He said he thought the room was empty !!! In the morning i looked at the door handle and there was nowhere on the door that a key could be inserted they were opened with a card I reported this to the reception in the morning and told them to check the cameras in the building, the response i got back was not good enough and i was told there was a night porter on. I didn't see a night porter on the property If a guy can access my room in the middle of the night then that means that myself and my belongings were not safe at this property I sent them a follow up email last week and have heard nothing from them
Sylvia Park Motel

Our family of 5 stayed during a 3 night holiday to Auckland, choosing this accommodation as not many can accommodate 3 child families, and also liked the location within close proximity to the mall etc. The layout and space was good but that's pretty much where it ends. It appears that some of the units may have been renovated but our unit was obviously not one of them. The room was rough, with holes in walls purely patched, one electrical socket was even hanging out of the wall. Our bathroom window would not shut probably so we had to ensure lights were off to reduce bug visitors. The place was also grotty, the sink etc needed a good clean, initially I thought the old timber etc might just be stained etc due to age but one wipe of a tissue over the skirting board revealed thick dust. The light fitting in the bathroom was full of dead bugs. About 3 blown bulbs in the unit. The crockery was stained and much of it with chips and cracks. The location and space means with some much needed TLC our unit would be great... but as it stands we wouldn't stay here again as for $235 per night we were terribly disappointed.
The Convent Hotel

It was our first day in NZ and this hotel was a lovely surprise on a rainy day. The room was tiny as an old convent room, however well equipped, with a unique decor. The restaurant within the hotel l, Ada is also extremely good and worth to try.
