From first arrival at this hotel the attitude towards customer service was on full display. The reception desk was not attended, but when a member of housekeeping staff kindly tried to help get attention for me she was rudely blanked by the proprietor. The kind housekeeper suggest I try to speak with them myself as she had been treated so dismissively. The stay itself was satisfactory in meeting our basic needs of a bed and shower. The room was clean if sparse and old fashioned in décor. After leaving the hotel, the complete lack of care or customer service again came transparent. We were travelling by motorcycle, it was raining and therefore in the packing of our luggage we missed 2 items. We quickly realised this and contacted the hotel, requesting they might be forwarded to an address elsewhere in France where we were staying a few days for a wedding. They denied the items were there. Knowing this to be a lie, we persisted and eventually the hotel confirmed they had one of the items only. By then it was too late to forward in France, so they would return the item to the UK. I was then told that this had required a tax declaration and received a demand for 40€ for tax and postage costs. This reference to taxes that needed paying was repeated on the phone. In truth NO taxes are due on the return of personal items, so when I asked the hotel for information to make a tax reclaim they admitted it was actually a charge they had imposed for their employees time. I had been mislead. I do not appreciate the pettiness, lies and poor customer service of this hotel and could not recommend it to any other traveller in case you should have some need of help or kindness.

Nous avons choisi cet hôtel pour son emplacement et les très bons avis sur ce site. Accueil par un monsieur charmant avec de bons conseils. L'hôtel est très bien situé au calme et proche du port St Goustan à 800m à pied. Il possède un parking bien pratique. La chambre supérieure que nous avions etait confortable avec belle moquette douce au sol. Par contre, elle manquait vraiment d'espace pour une supérieure... le bureau était coincé contre la sous-pente. La salle de bain était assez spacieuse, avec coin lavabo large, porte-serviette, douche fermée, très bien. Dommage que le WC était un peu coincé devant la douche. Un velux pour aérer très bien. Le petit déjeuner était parfait ! Un jeune homme souriant nous donnait un panier avec un morceau de délicieuse baguette de tradition et un croissant au beurre superbe. Il y avait un peu de tout sur la desserte. Seuls les jus de fruits de la machine étaient sans goût. Un petit détail, il n'y avait pas de confitures et caramel beurre salé artisanaux de la région, juste des mini barquettes sous vide en plastique, dommage... Mais je recommande cet hotel qui est d'un bon rapport qualité/prix.

Les propriétaires Thierry et Catherine présents sur place, avenants et toujours prêts à nous rendre service et bien nous renseigner; contrairement à certains autres hôtels, souvent sans êtres humains pour nous accueillir, robotisé, i.e. internet, cellulaire, textos… À l’hôtel LeBranhoc d’Auray, nous avons trouvé notre chambre bien propre, lit confortable, chambre bien insonorisée avec salle de bain privée et douche très sécuritaire. Excellent petit déjeuner avec vue agréable sur leur jardin bien entretenu. Internet fiable et rapide. Toujours heureux de revoir les propriétaires lorsqu’on passe à Auray. Hôtel bien situé pour aller à pied au port de saint Goustan. Personnel professionnel, chambre très confortable et très soignée (et nous n’avons pas eu la salle de bain moderne précisée dans un autre avis). Petit regret pour le petit déjeuner : pas de produit salé (ou alors je ne l’ai pas vu), malgré un hôtel complet.

Excellent rapport qualité/prix, mais je ne comprend pas les commentaires dithyrambiques à propos de cet hôtel. Il n'est ni merveilleux ni sensationnel comme il est dit dans les avis mais juste conforme à sa catégorie, un petit hôtel comme il y en a des milliers à travers le pays.Bien pour une nuit.
