Best Hotels near JR Minami-Toyoshina station, Azumino

About 3-4 minutes walk from Toyoshina Station on the Oito Line. It's located behind the station, and the narrow roads are complicated, so it's hard to find if you're driving for the first time. However, once you get the hang of it, it's not that complicated since you're on the national highway right after you cross the railroad crossing. Well, it's a normal route in, but this one also has rooms on the first floor. The first floor is crowded with people and can be uncomfortable, so if possible, it might be better to choose a room on the second floor or higher. There seem to be many small shops around the station, such as restaurants. Suburban stores and shopping centers line the road that runs from the station line to Azumino IC, so if you're driving, I think it's better to go there. Alternatively, the in-house tavern is open in the evenings, so you can easily use that as well. Also, there is a plan for staying without meals, but the price was the same as the one that included breakfast. What's more, even though you're staying without meals, they give you a breakfast coupon when you check in. I said, ``I don't need it because I'll be leaving early,'' but I guess it's probably the same either way from the other side. After returning from the mountain, I stayed one more night at Toppingishi, and at that time my single reservation had been upgraded to a double room. Since it was a Friday, the number of business travelers would have decreased, and most of the climbers would have already entered the mountain, so there would have been plenty of room.

Less than 5 minutes walk from JR station, my moderate twin room is very spacious and comes with a work desk. Beddings are very comfortable and plenty of amenities are provided. They even have complimentary supper service at night. We didn't get to try the breakfast but they look great with a lot of varieties. This is a great place to stay in Matsumoto.

This is about a 10-minute walk from the castle exit of Matsumoto Station. I think the basic structure of the hotel is old, but it is usually beautiful. To the front desk for check-in ‥‥ The front desk was usually a good response. You can enter the room with a key. The room is of a normal size, and the bath and toilet are undeniable, and the amenities and additional facilities in the room are also normal. (There is no security box, slippers were disposable. Pants pressure, charger, kettle, etc. can be rented at the front desk, so there is no shortage.) The bed was a bit wide, the sleeping clothes were yukata, and the pillows were low and low, so I had them replaced with soba shells. The network has wi-hi and the speed is normal. The large communal bath is a small space for about 4 people in the bathroom and about 2 people in the washroom, but you can enjoy it by the men and women exchange system with the cherry blossom bath medicine bath. Breakfast is free and bread is available, but the side dishes were Japanese and there were about 6 items and it was delicious. Coffee, tea, coin laundry and manga books are available 24 hours free. What was unique was that there was a DVD player, and you can rent DVD software at the front desk (there was also a software for children). It was a convenient and cost-effective hotel.

I chose this hotel in front of the station for the next day to use a car rental. It is a hotel of the Alpico Transportation Group. The receptionist is on the 2 floor. Check-in requires a machine hand input by yourself, and all payments, card keys and breakfast tickets are out of the machine. So payment is prepaid. It depends on the way of thinking whether it is troublesome or convenient. 1 person 8000 yen with breakfast. There was Wi-Fi, the room and the bathroom were clean and the bed was comfortable and there was no particular dissatisfaction. There are also restaurants and taverns in front of the station for dinner, so there is no worry.

I use it at the hotel the night before going to Kamikochi, which I go out every year. I went by car this time as well, but the parking lot is a multi-storey car park, but there was no inconvenience in getting in and out. This time, the GOTO campaign was available, and I used the coupon, so I had less spending. I didn't want to use the restaurant for dinner in Corona, so I bought a lunch box at a convenience store using a GOTO paper coupon and went home. I went for a walk in the direction of Matsumoto Castle in the evening, but it was good that Matsumoto Castle was lit up. The room was as clean as any Toyoko Inn. It was good that the washroom was also clean. Breakfast was packed and put on the tray and went back to the room and ate slowly.

This was a stopover hotel for our tour of Japan. It's well-located, walking distance to the railway station. The hotel carpark is small and we ended up in a garage about a 7-minute walk away. (10-minute if you have luggage.) We ended up in the executive floor. The rooms were all right in size. The major plus is the 14th floor executive lounge. We were there on New Year Day but ALL the restaurants that looked decent said they would only allow us in with reservations. We had not expected that. Fortunately, we had a good fill at the lounge, went to MacDonald's (across the road from the Railway Station) for a burger and then returned to the Lounge to top up with drinks. Although it was near the closing time for the lounge, still the staff topped up the food. Breakfast was pretty good. But the dining area is somewhat small. So we had to wait 10 minutes. They do have a picnic arrangement, which was pretty charming. Staff were friendly, things worked. Yes, I would recommend this.

This is a really good place to stay if you’re looking for a cheap Ryokan. Staff are super friendly, but unfortunately don’t speak much English. However, you can get by with google translate. There is an Onsen that is shared amongst the guests, however you can flip a sign on the door to mark it as occupied so you can use it alone. The only real downside is that the staff clean around 9-10am in the morning. So if you’re looking for a peaceful sleep in this probably isn’t the best stay for you. Though If you’re an early riser and like to try different types of hostels this place is going to be perfect. They also have free hire bikes you can use to get around.

The name of Marunouchi is in Matsumoto Castle. The hotel is quite large with three windows. There is a sofa and coffee table at the corner. The area where the tea is rested is separated from the bedroom. The clerk was very enthusiastic. At noon, he took us to the opposite gift shop to buy wooden dolls and Xinzhou specialty products. It is not about 15 minutes from the JR station. When I leave the store, I choose a taxi in the hot weather, but it is JPY880. It is also a 15-minute walk from the Matsumoto City Art Museum and a special exhibition of Yayoi Yayoi’s birthplace.

There were three washing machines on the fourth floor, 200 yen for washing machines, 100 yen for drying machines, and the bath on the top floor was larger than the cherry blossoms thought, and the washroom was beautiful. The bath also had cosmetic water, emulsion, cleaning liquid, and body soap, shampoo and conditioner were also famous manufacturers. From the room, it is ok with yukata and slippers, so I entered twice a day like a hot spring inn. You can take a bath at 1 a.m. at night and 6 a.m. in the morning. The unit bus in the room was never used. Daily cleaning is a magnet card on the door, and even if you want to do not need cleaning, you will put a new yukata, bath towel, towel and amenities in a bag and hung them on the door knob. The good thing with the room facilities is the bright reading lights and 2 door frozen refrigerator, chairs like used in the office. The window was not open, but those who want to ventilate can open it if they borrow the key to the window. Outside the window, I could only see the office of the next building, but I almost went out, so I didn't care. I stayed for 3 nights, but the front desk was polite. There is a Japanese restaurant on the 1 floor, and breakfast can be eaten there. 1 thousand yen once. At dinner, there were couples in yukata, business guests, etc. The station is close, but the sound of the train is hardly heard, and it is quiet at night. The meal was also fun to eat because there were restaurants, taverns, dining rooms, etc. of color 々 genres nearby. Convenience stores are several stores and supermarkets are large underground of bus terminals. It is a hotel that I want to use when I go to Matsumoto again.
