City Stay Beach Hotel Apartments - Marjan Island Reviews

I had an extremely disappointing experience during my stay at City Stay Beach Hotel in Ras Al Khaimah. I initially booked a king-size bedroom, but upon arrival, I was informed that they were overbooked and that they would "upgrade" me to a room with a balcony, which I did not request. Instead, they gave me a room with two twin beds meant for kids, and this was the only option they claimed to have available at midnight. To make matters worse, early in the morning, heavy-duty drilling works began, disturbing everyone on the floor and causing multiple complaints. Although the drilling eventually stopped after an hour, the damage had been done. When I approached the receptionist to request a cancellation for my next night due to the terrible experience, they adamantly refused, insisting that they were in the right. I requested to speak to the manager, who displayed no empathy and continually lied about the rules being imposed by Dubai management. The manager offered to cancel the night and provide a voucher for a future stay, which I declined, expressing my intention never to return to this hotel. I demanded a full refund for the additional night I had paid for, but the manager persistently refused and repeated the same offer. I strongly discourage anyone from choosing this dishonest hotel. The facilities are subpar, the rooms are small and outdated, and the overall quality is far from satisfactory. It's undoubtedly one of the worst hotels I've stayed at in Ras Al Khaimah.

It’s good and clean but not as I imagine

I made a wrong order and cannot withdraw it. I am speechless.

The hotel is very good and unique, it is very cosy, high level of service, very good food, staff member For Akshay and chef Uyossef are fantastic. Very good sea, beach and clean room. Very friendly and flexible attitude, highly recommend for relaxing and good holiday.

Worst hotel I’ve ever been to. When I checked in they gave me a smelly room with stains on the pillow, water damage in the cupboards, broken curtains. I when down & the receptionist was nice enough to change the room on the spot. The new room didn’t have towels & when I asked for them, they gave me 1, keeping in mind that I’ve booked a room for 2 adults & a child, I told them that & they gave me one more & said that it’s “not allowed to get more” as if I’m going to share the towels with my daughter. After complaining they gave me a worn out towel which has been used for years. Took my daughter to the pool, & they refused giving us towels there too “only one”. No one cleans the room unless you keep asking. I asked for coffee, which is part of the room & didn’t even get it. I paired 2627 AED for this!! Upon checkout I was carrying all the bags, no one offered to help & no one even asked about the stay. I stood there until I asked them if I’m good to go.

Dated property, bad odour, basic food and overall an unpleasant experience. The only positive was its staff who were kind, courteous and welcoming. The hotel needs to be given a facfacelift immediately . Please stay away !...............

Terrible experience at the hotel. The cleanliness was Zero with a very bad smell coming from AC. The buffet was a great disappointment. We are very disappointed with the hotel overall. After paying a premium price AED1300 No tasty food, No soap in the washrooms, the bedrooms and entrace to the rooms smells so bad.

Was amazing stay in this lovely Hotel with the Amazing view that Ahmed from reception offered us. such a Hotel in this Beautiful place mean a lot of meaning thank you Ahmed and see you soon in one more visit because of you you made us like this hotel a lot.

First of all the hotel is affordable! l really like the infrastructure and the views from the tenth floor. Rajesh and Ajmal were very helpful during my stay. The pool is very good as it is not deep that even the kids can still swim safely. Thank you guys

False advertisement, location is not on Marjan Island, it's on the main road before the island entrance, next to a construction site. Pictures are not updated as the hotel is under renovation with everything old and dirty. Workers and materials in and around the hotel. AC problems and molding everywhere. Curtains, carpets and floors all stains and dirty. Bathroom problems on the mirror, ceiling, garbage bin, water hose, shower. One single small elevator available, used by hotel staff, construction workers and hotel clients. The accessories in the room where old and damaged (land line phone, TV remote, AC unit). Due to low capacity and long time waiting of the elevator, we used the Fire emergency stairs witch was congested with building materials, same story for the parking. At the swimming pool we seen more problems: an open hatch large enough to be a safety hazard, exposed electric wires, damaged sunbeds and broken tiles, toped with a gorgeous view of construction site.
