First the positive: everything is very clean, in good condition and tidy. The pool is very nicely designed. 1 star deduction for the ambience: the hotel is clearly aimed at pensioners over 70, which is reflected in the room design, among other things. People may like it, but to us the furniture seemed (to put it very kindly) like it was from the 70s, oppressive and depressing. The furniture is of good quality, but we were reminded of the apartment of our 95-year-old relatives. Little by little, new houses seem to have been integrated, which is reflected in the winding corridors. The ambience of the restaurant is much better. 1 star deduction for the catering: the quality of the food - taking the price into account - needs a lot of improvement in terms of taste and appearance. It is more reminiscent of a mediocre canteen than a restaurant. The portion size is quite small. The service is friendly, but our plates were not cleared for an hour at dinner. 1 star deduction for Corona measures: The vaccination certificates were properly checked - so much for the positive. But how can it be that at least two employees (including a waiter) move around in public areas for a longer period of time and seen several times without a mask and have close contact with guests (not us)? As a reminder: medical masks for employees were legally required at the time of the stay. Given the sometimes very elderly clientele, this is incomprehensible - even if everyone is vaccinated - and would actually deserve a five-star deduction. We certainly won't be coming back.
