Séjour en couple. Cadre magnifique et personnel très sympathique et professionnel. Gastronomie au top au 1217 !! Chambre rénovée avec beaucoup de goût- Literie très confortable. A savoir qu'il faut accepter de ne pas avoir de grandes baies vitrées malgré le paysage magnifique du au caractère historique du bâtiment.

An absolutely beautiful hotel with stunning gardens, bedrooms and service. Food was superb. I would urge anyone travelling through the region to stay here as it’s a real treat. Incredibly old and impressive building with many stunning rooms and grounds

Chateau Bagnols is a beautiful and well maintained French castle about 40 min from Lyon. The rooms are very large and impressive. The staff is great as well and attentive to your needs. We reached late due to travel and traffic delays and were greeted and taken care of very well. The breakfast was also very good. Overall it was a wonderful experience.

when we booked we asked for a quiet room with a garden view. They gave us a noisy room (noise from restaurant and kitchen was disturbing and went on late and restarted early in the morning) . Also a flashing light in the room ceiling (probably a smoke or security alarm) disturbed our sleep also. far too expensive for this sort of poor service.

Initial impression is amazing. The main building and grounds are stunning and the renovations beautifully done. But They detail is sadly not any where close to 5 start standard. Check in process was shambolic. The grounds are lovely but the orientation tour was functional at best. The room is just about satisfactory but no more. A curtain to the bathroom rather than a door is cheap. The door to the adjoining room is not sealed so the background sound of voices from next door and sound of their telephones ringing was beyond annoying. As for the tv channel selection this is abysmal. No mainstream pay tv channels is not what I expect from a 5 star hotel. The condescending attitude of the staff when I called to ask about channels to watch the Euro 24 football championships was unacceptable. While the views and buildings look great. This is a spot to avoid.

restauration du mercredi au samedi uniquement en resto gastronomique est quelque peu problématique. les infos sur randonnées pédestres et par vélo assez limitée. pour le reste très bel endroit et chambre impeccable. personnel très aimable.

Excellent service from all the staff. Excellent food in both restaurants and overall a very good experience! And then there is the wine! Being in the Beaujolais region the wines are simply divine and the sommelier certainly chose some wonderful wines to drink. My only negative comment would a lack of a shower. Appreciate we were staying in a castle but a shower really would have made the room. By the way the room was fabulous!

Sleeping in a stone castle is soooo relaxing. In the morning, gazing out the window I felt that I was waking up in a fairy tale! Truly so beautiful. The doves of black, white and speckled flying together… Thank you Laure and Taddeo especially for looking out for this American.
