Canavida is incredible. Located on the side of a mountain overlooking the ocean and the Whale Tail at Uvita’s Marino Ballena National Part you are surrounded by tranquility and some pretty amazing wildlife. Even better, you are just a short drive away from the heart of downtown Uvita and very close to a great supermarket. The kitchen of the two units I stayed in over the course of two weeks were fully stocked with the essentials and new appliances. The poolside grill was in excellent working condition and was put to good use, repeatedly. The cottages are all in exceptional condition and were exactly as advertised. Additionally, the grounds were in great shape and the staff was super friendly, professional and very welcoming. The optional laundry service also came in very handy. I would highly recommend staying here if you want to check out multiple species of exotic birds, monkeys, frogs, butterflies and so much more while also enjoying a pristine plunge pool all while catching life changing sunset views. Thank you Jessica, Alberto and the rest of the team for a memorable stay.

Wow what a view! This place is next level and has a fully stocked kitchen. I recommend bringing food to make as the closest store is quite the trek. We will be back!

Great views with good amenities.
Hotels dot com screwed up the reservation, but Jessica at the property did everything she could and made sure I️ have accommodations for my trip. She’s there to help and does a great job at that. The road going to the site is dirt, but that’s expected in CR. The pool at the smaller condos is amazing. Infinity, with fantastic views and the right depth to hang out and enjoy life. Definitely going back there the next time I’m in Uvita!!

Amazing!!! Best View
Absolutely epic view. Incredible accommodations and very friendly staff. We had a very short stay and wish we could have been there longer. Highly recommend. The only challenge is the treacherous drive up/down the mountain. It is not paved and very rocky. You’ll need a 4x4 vehicle.

I had a lovely stay at Canavida, casa colibri. I had a warm welcome from the owner Jess upon arrival. She did everything she could to have me feel at home and taken care of. She had lots of recommendations and useful tips to give me. The villa was splendid. The view, nested above the ocean was just incredible, which you can admire for your pool as well. It was so peaceful, yet so close to local businesses once you drove the road down. There are a few miradors to watch the whales tail beach. They offer some nice amenities like complimentary laundry if you stay a week. I would strongly recommend it.

Wij hebben een uitstekend verblijf gehad bij Canavida. Goed contact met eigenaar. Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Prachtig zwembad met waanzinnig mooi uitzicht over de baai. Keuken is compleet ingericht. Goede bank om op te zitten. Buiten zitten is heerlijk, met een fantastisch uitzicht. Ik kan echt niets bedenken wat niet goed was. Hartelijk dank, Jessica and staff!

The place is only 6 km from the main road right next to a all restaurants and supermarkets, but it seems like you are in the pure jungle with 180 degrees views of the oceans. we lived with many toucans and macaws, we even saw a coati. Jessica and Alberto were so helpful and always on site to answer any needs or questions. Canavida have many amazing tours we went whale watching and we saw a mother and her offspring. I truly recommend the place it is by far my favourite in this trip.

-La camas poco confortables, con el colchón hundido. -1 de las puertas accesorias hacia los cuartos principales y una de las ventanas de estos no cerraban con seguro por lo que la casa nunca se mantuvo segura. -la piscina no es como la anuncian, infinita. -parrilla descuidada a la interperie. -Internet lento, pasaba caído. Al conectar 2 dispositivos a reproducir por streaming dejaba de funcionar. - inorodos incomodos -El lugar se anuncia como amigable con mascotas y te cobran una tarifa adicional por mascota para la limpieza (totalmente entendible). Ademas uno lleva a su mascota y se debe haber responsable por los potenciales daños que esta hace. Pero fue un disgusto cuando al salir nos cobraron un adicional extra por los pelos de las mascotas. Cabe mencionar que la cabina no había una escoba o algún otro producto de limpieza para recoger durante la estadía. Por lo que uno se siente estafado por este doble cargo. Ademas de eso, pese a la falsa publicidad, buscan cualquier daño para cobrar mas del total de una estadía por noche de “multa”. ¿Les parece poco 500$ por un rayón de una puerta? Disque diciendo que por la seguridad de la casa, pero hay dos puertas en otras habitaciones que no cierran nunca. Pesimo hospedero

Fuimos dos parejas y nosotros con nuestro peque. Las vistas son impresionantes ñ! La villa es muy bonita y tiene todo lo que necesitas! Tuvimos un par de problemitas con un baño pero en seguida lo solucionaron . Sin duda volvería. Muy buena experiencia
