I don’t normally take the time to review places but considering that they market themselves as a 5 star hotel I want to make sure other people considering this hotel know what to expect at least. For context We stayed in this hotel for a week as a family (2 kids) in a connecting family room. First off when we arrived and checked in, the guy at reception said they would check our documents and to please wait in their restaurant. We ordered some drinks and waited. Meanwhile suddenly they start blasting Indian music so loud in the restaurant (it was only us and another family there) that we had to go ask them if they could please turn it back down again. I don’t know for who or why they put the music on so loud. This also happened when we ate breakfast one morning. After maybe 20 minutes we went to ask reception how check in was going and were only told that “they were checking”. We decided to go and get some late lunch since we didn’t know how long we needed to wait for them to “check” whatever they were checking. If the room wasn’t ready, it wouldn’t have been a problem if they simply said so and gave us a time frame for when it would be ready. But this was a taste of the service to come unfortunately. We had a connecting family room that had one bathroom to share. The master bedroom had only a window which was a small and by the ceiling facing out into the hallway (so no external window) which meant it was like sleeping with lights on all night as the hallway light were always on. In this case perhaps a curtain for that window would be good or installing sensor lights in the hallway so the light isn’t on unless someone is there. The rooms were SO warm and when we went to check about the air conditioning they told us it wasn’t working or they didn’t have it. (Not sure which was the correct answer) They couldn’t give us a straight answer. They told us the heating had been on the night before but that they had now switched it off and allowed for “air” instead. So whatever control you have in your room is basically useless. When we asked if they could allow for the air conditioning to be turned on they just told us they would sort it out but nothing got done. We had to sleep with the only external window open during the night so at least our kids could be more comfortable. Other important things to note - we got 2 towels for 4 people. We asked them to bring 2 more which wasn’t done. Only when we saw a cleaner outside in the hallway one evening (3 nights into our stay) did we get 2 more. - there was no cleaning the whole week. We asked for more water, asked if someone would come to at least remove the garbage and they told us they would send someone but never did. - as shown in the photos, one of the single beds was broken underneath. - several sheets/duvet covers were broken, one example shown in the photos. - there was cigarette burns on the double bed headboard despite it being a non-smoking room. Shown in photos. Also the bathr

Have spent six days in this hotel. Impression very favorable. The room was without balcony but clean and comfortable. The room has a refrigerator, a TV (there is a Russian-speaking channel), a safe, an electric teapot. Two bottles of water, tea and coffee, in the bathtub, shampoo, were left every day. Towels changed every day. Cleaning is also daily. On the first day they brought a dish with fruit as a greeting. polite staff speaks Russian and English. A little far from the sea and the embankment, but a taxi to help)). We liked everything, and the city is very beautiful and peculiar. A beautiful attitude to historical buildings.

KKhan123Disappointed in all honesty.
The room itself was as expected, nice design and very spacious.
Housecleaning was below par as there was still rubbish on the floor after I had returned in the evening, 2 nights in a row.
Had to wait a few minutes for the shower to get warm. No toothbrushes in the bathroom.
Miscommunication between staff about payment which resulted in a very unnecessary late night phone call from the front desk. Further miscommunication about parcel delivery. One day it was brought straight to the room, the next day it was against hotel policy.
Asked for help with luggage for check out, never came.
Very far from the ritz experience.
GGuest UserAmazing stay , excellent service from the reception above above excellence ! ,The location is perfect everything is a walk a way ! Perfect hotel .. the only issue is the housekeeping they dont clean they only arrange .. I faced issue with the toilet and noticed that its wasnt cleaned at all! Even the room tissue box was empty they didnt fill it they didnt notice because they dont clean even when I requested tissue box it was kept a side not in the tissue box container .. However, receptionist are always eager to help and assist they even offer the cleaning service mid night just to help ! A perfect hotel they only need to work on elevating the housekeepers
Note: rooms at a lower level and on a particular road are very noisy because of the cars you cant sleep , so request moving to a higher floor or another side of the hotel
Aandy6999The Boutique hotel Baku is very close to the bustling Nizami street while being situated in a quiet lane, so that you are away from the noise yet close to the city centre. The master suite was spacious for the three of us and all the amenities were provided. The elevator was a welcome relief compared to a lot of other hotels in Baku. The breakfast buffet was excellent The staff were efficient and did a great job. Highly recommend this hotel The extra bed in the room needs to be of better quality. Hope the management works on this suggestion
GGuest UserIn general, everything is good: a normal breakfast (yes, there is not enough variety if you stay for a long time, but I didn’t have time to experience it in a week), adequate room, wi-fi, excellent staff and price. The room was a little tired (a couple of stains on the carpet, a scratched cabinet), but everything in the bathroom was new + consumables were regularly updated and the main furniture was in excellent condition. The main disadvantage is the location: the bus stops that go from/to the center are close and run frequently, but to get to the stops you have to make your way through parked cars at services, car dealers and tire shops. As a result, I left for OT in the morning and returned by taxi.
Hotel is neat and clean..Very good ambience. Good food.. Service is very friendly. Service Staff Qeys, Eyyub, Azer, Fuego, Resta and Roya is very pleasing and smart. Roya welcome us with a sweet smile and was giving attention all the way through.. Really enjoyed
GGuest UserWe arrived on the 22 and was welcomed by ismail and checked in by shams from reception both were super nice and instantly gave us one of the best first impression any one can ask for. Our first day we had shawarma from black city and it was the best shawarma we ever had and made us go back again for the taste of it several times. Definitely recommend every one to try. We had the best service by our special favorite orkhan who was super friendly and the team made sure we get the best service. We had to just look once and literally the staff comes running to help. 10/10 for the attentiveness and details of the black city staff. We tried green house but the food is same as white city. Would have been amazing if they had a different cuisine than white city. We had the best shisha made by Hussain who was very kind but didn’t get the same smile and sweetness from the other staff in green house. Service was not bad but as we had an amazing experience from black city where all the staff are super attentive was a little down fall. We had dinner in white city and couldn’t order anything else after we tried the honey baby chicken which was absolutely delicious. We also had lunch twice in white city but the service was super slow due to lack of staff but David while we noticed it was definitely a time of rush he had done amazing while doing the service with a very energetic smile and a very positive vibe. The hotel has a beautiful steam room, sauna and a pool. I met gulshan from spa while I went for sauna who always was super attentive kind with a gorgeous smile. It is beautiful to go for a walk out side the hotel as it’s near a park with ocean views. We had met amazing locals as well as everyone we met were super kind. The hotel has beautiful garden and greenery around the property. We usually take pictures in every country we go but we fell in love with the gardens and the colours around we took pictures just out side the hotel. Lots of mini butterflies and just super pretty and beautiful colorfulness around the hotel. The rooms are spacious and if you love mirrors this would be a perfect place as the hallway to room are filled with huge mirrors. The only problem we faced was that the hotel didn’t have a eu plug and we had to take a walk to get them on the first day but other than that didn’t have any issues. Lastly was checked out by Orkhan from reception who was funny and sweet asked us about our stay and had a good last impression as well. All together a great team at marriot and definitely would recommend to stay as the hotel is beautiful with amazing facilities and to top of has amazing staff with delicious food. Personally this was the best vacation 💕
GGuest UserMy stay at the Bristol Hotel from 1st Sept to 5th Sept 2023, room No 103, in Baku was an absolute nightmare that stretched over four agonizing nights. Despite its touted central location, this ancient relic of a place doesn't even come close to resembling the ”hotel” it's advertised as online. It's more like a dingy rental hostel with delusions of grandeur. Let's talk about breakfast – a lackluster, uninspired routine that required us to play a waiting game at their absurdly inconvenient hours. And don't even get me started on the absence of room service or the complete absence of drinking water. It's as if they're actively trying to make your stay as miserable as possible. The rooms are laughably non-soundproof, and the pitiful window curtains do nothing to shield you from the relentless onslaught of intrusive light, especially with a blaring nightclub next door. The fact that management couldn't care less about replacing those curtains is infuriating. But wait, there's more! The bathroom lock decided to throw a wrench into my already dreadful experience. I found myself trapped inside the bathroom, envisioning a nightmarish scenario where my partner wasn't in the room to rescue me. Can you imagine being stuck in there for hours, or even days? In all seriousness, I implore you, in the strongest terms possible, to steer clear of this establishment. It's an absolute travesty, and you deserve far better for your stay.
AArtyom PetukhovWhen I checked in I was told the door is broken so I could not open it with the electronic key and they'll open it, but it's gonna be fixed the next day. Of course it was never fixed and I had to ask the staff to open it for me every time. Felt REALLY awkward. Then some day some random woman (she was working here I believe) just opened my door and walked in while I was in my room at midnight, saw me, said sorry and run away. What was that I have no idea, but it kinda gives you an idea about their take on privacy. The TV was not working, because the cable was literally torn apart, the WiFi broke down several times and one time it was more than 24 hours. The showerhead was broken, the water from the shower never went the way it supposed to, but straight to the floor, the toilet was not really attached to the floor (thankfully it was attached to communications). With that being said, I still think the hotel is okay for the price, the room was nice, big and clean and had a personal balcony and the staff were really friendly.
SSanaullahAn extremely well behaved staff and the location was amazing it was very boughet friendly I would like to recommend everyone this hotel thank you.
