Oakhurst Hotels with Balcony

The hotel is located in the center of the town, which is very convenient, has complete facilities, and the service response is very timely.

It takes 40 minutes to drive from the gorge and a few minutes drive from the town. However, I like the hotel's environment and retro decoration style. Unfortunately, I didn't catch up with the beautiful snow scene when I stayed. The room size is small and the facilities are simple, but the bathroom is more special and has a double vanity. Breakfast can basically be ignored~

If you like hearing every word your unknown neighbors say at midnight this is the place for you. 1st night room next store had a baby, the baby cried off and on all night (babies cry, not complaining about that) but it sounded like the baby was in our room. We could hear every word the parents were saying to the baby to try and get him to sleep. We were unable to sleep that night and basically ruined our day in Yosemite. 2nd night was different guest but again they might as well be in our room. I could hear snoring all night as well as their entire conversation. When their iPhone alarm went off I literally reached for my phone to shut it off. The room was clean enough but so old and worn. We thought we coming to a cool funky small hotel but it’s just plain old. They told us the hot water comes slowly and to let the sink run for a few minutes lol maybe after 15 minutes you may or may not get more than Luke warm. The shower head was a stream and should have been replaced 10 years ago. Linens seemed clean enough but looked frayed and old. This place is not worth the charge - please don’t respond with your standard response about many guest enjoying the value. Unless you like paying a lot of money to be awake all night go elsewhere. Had I known the area better I would have just stayed in Oakhurst at a quiet clean hotel with actual running hot water only 15 minutes more from the park entrance.

DO NOT STAY HERE! This place is beyond disgusting, unsafe, and unprofessional. I booked a room with 2 queen beds for one night for 3 adults. The room we were given had one bed and a mattress for us to sleep on. The actual bed didn't have any blankets, only a sheet and some pillows. The mattress didn't even have that, it was just a stained fitted sheet that looked like it hadn't been washed. We searched the entire room for blankets or even a single pillow/top sheet for the mattress but there was nothing in the room. I went to the front desk and asked the manager if we could have some pillows and blankets since our room had none. She told us we didn't ”need any” since it was ”warm enough” at night. We told her we wanted bedding even if it was ”warm enough” (＜55ºF that night) and she then said the owner didn't let them wash blankets in the summer and that all the pillows and sheets were ”lost” at other properties. I kept insisting and finally she gave me 2 thin white sheets that both had brown stains all over them, telling me to use one as a pillow. I walked away in shock not believing that a hotel I payed $150 to stay one night at refused to give me bedding. To keep the rest short, Once we realized how bad the situation was, we tried to find a room anywhere else in town but there was nothing available within such short notice. It was already late and we had just driven 5 hours from home so we decided to leave very early the next morning to get out of there as soon as possible. Besides the strange and upsetting interaction with the front desk, we also found that the shower had no shower head, the toilet paper roll holder was ripped off the wall and a used roll was sitting on the counter instead, the bathroom sink was covered in dried toothpaste and green mold, the pot for a large decorative plant was filled with trash, the only ”lock” on the door was a key code (that was known by the staff) and a broken latch bolt that didn't even stay on the door, and finally, a DEAD LIZARD in the cabinet next to the bed! It almost felt like a sick joke or a scam. I am horrified that this is how we were treated.

I booked my stay after finding this motel on Trip Advisor. My wife and I arrived in late afternoon after traveling for hours only to find the place deserted. Nothing was open, no wine bar, no beer garden, no restaurant and no one working there. There was a note on the office door telling us to let ourselves in. We decided to not stay and we checked in the a brand new Marriott right up the street for a much lower price and it included breakfast. I did send an email to the motel telling them that my wife and I chose not to stay since the amenities we were expecting were not open. After traveling for hours we just wanted to relax and have dinner at the property I received an email back saying that they would not refund my money because I should have read the fine print on their deceiving website. When I read the fine print it said hours might vary for the restaurant and to call for specifics. Why advertise on the home page you have a wine bar, a beer garden and a restaurant when they are only open for limited days of the week? And what’s crazy, is that I did call before our trip to ask about the weather conditions expected during our stay and no one ever answered the phone. My recommendation is to stay away from this place. They are not friendly and they certainly do not know how to run a business
