Very friendly staff

Convenient location. Some confusion about the breakfast being included. Breakfast hours didn’t start until 9:00. Carpeted steps were dirty, but room was clean and very nice.

Setting in a small quiet town.

I arrived about 5.15pm on a Monday, the guy text and rang to confirm my arrival time, he rang again as I was running late, found out the restaurant isn’t open on a Monday night so it’s a check in by handing you a key card etc. No breakfast available, shower was broken so you only had the rainfall head and it was cold. Room was ok, could do with a lick of paint and overhaul in parts. Word of note, there are no restaurants in town so I ended up with a take away in my room.

Hotel was closed. Tiny room in B&B Across the street. No food available, facilities non existent.

We arrived in Ballygawley a tad early after driving from Dublin. The staff we a bit confused where we were going to stay. they were very charming and sorted it in the end. The room was clean and tidy ( a lot of cushions ! ). Breakfast was OK but seemed overcooked. We went to Auchnacloy for a meal that night as food was not being served which was disappointing as we booked specifically for their good food reputation.

We had a booking for 7pm Sunday eve. On arrival we were informed that a number of items on the menu were not available due to the business of the day and that the restaurant would be closed from Monday to Thursday and they didn't want waste. On enquiry we were advised this happens quite often and customers generally don't complain. The manager was defensive and advised us that we had already apologised for our behaviour earlier which was totally inaccurate and we were flabbergasted by this comment. We advised any critism verbalised was intended to be constructive and to help improve the service. The manager did not in any way accept we had a valid complaint. He was also advised of a previous poor experience when the restaurant ran out of gas but we didn't say anything on this occasion.. The manager advised us that in 7 years they had never ran out of gas. However, we were able to provide the actual time period . We felt as the manager became very defensive and was clearly not happy with our comments we paid our bill and left. To this end we must highlight that staff serving us were more than helpful and courteous.

Very friendly, attentive and welcoming staff and locals. Stylish rooms with lots of extras, 2 bottles of water, toiletries, hairdryer, tea/coffee and even a sewing kit. Great shower, comfortable bed, Food was delicious. Music in bar was great. Great atmosphere.
