Beautiful views. Restaurant food was only ok and there are no other restaurants within 1.5 hrs. Front office staff is mediocre and inconsistent depending on who was there. There are no phones in the cabins so there is no way to communicate with the front desk except by email or walk the 100-150 yards in the snow to get to the front desk. No internet except in the lobby areas. Transportation option to/from Tromso is also very limited and expensive. Taxi each way is $180-220 US.

It's a shame that a resort with a breathtaking scenery pays so little attention to the quality of the food they serve their guests. When at a seminar, the meals are crucial to the well-being of the participants, and given the beautiful surroundings we had high expectations to the food. What a disappointment then to be served food of such poor quality. if Malangen resort aspires to cater to conferences and seminars, they have to hire professional chefs with a heart for local food.

Lovely remote location.
Friendly staff.
Dinner very tasty and reasonable value.
Excursions are a bit pricey.
Good location for Aurora especially if they are from the south which they were for us. Fantastic show (March 23rd 2023)
Be aware that the hotel organised bus to airport is at fixed times and meant we had 4 hours at the airport which is currently being extended and the international flights are form a big temporary structure. A thoroughly unpleasant experience which the Hotel staff should have warned us about.

Très bon souvenir de cet hôtel, chambre de rêve, emplacement idéal, personnel super sympa ! une seule envie y revenir ! Buffet très copieux le matin, possibilité de faire des activités à réserver sur place ou avant de venir et la cerise sur le gâteau : emplacement idéal pour les aurores boréales ... le top !

We had a lovely stay at the resort. The hotel rooms are simple but very clean with an amazing view . We organized a few activities from the resort that we enjoyed a lot : dog sledding; reindeers feeding ; aurora camp ; snowshoeing . Most of activities are done in the proximity of the hotel so you don’t waste a lot of time traveling . The nature around is beautiful and we had the chance of seeing a lot of auroras which was the main reason for the trip.

really love the design of the cabin but i feel that the kitchen can be cleaner and better maintained. Overall, i feel that the whole cabin is very clean and neat. I would stay at malangen resort again for my next visit
