Royal Rattanakosin Hotel - Near Grand Palace & Khaosan Road

Room view was good. Got the main street view and grand place within 9 minutes walk from hotel. Maybe that why the receptionist was super rude 🥲. Our flight was early. We arrived at 12pm. As usual check in was late 14:00. However, when we went to receptionist, she told us ok, give me your passport and deposit of 500 for each room. My friend was there, he gave 2000 for 3 rooms so 500 extra will be returned, right. When he made fun like, will you give this money back? She instantly throws our passport at us and told us to wait. The rooms are not available. We were shocked. Told us no rooms now. Wait till 14:00 o’clock. She was cold to everyone. Not only us. It seemed like she was senior than others, that’s why other staff didn’t even reacted. No help from getting the bags to room. Room was also not not big. Very small and cozy. Had dust on the bed desk. Not satisfied at all.

The hotel itself is old but it’s clean and in a perfect location. It’s close to most tourist attractions. The furniture is a little outdated but still in good condition. There are lot of homeless people around the area especially at night.

The location is very good but the staff not professional and not friendly, especially the receptionists. It took almost 30 min to check in because in all the rooms that I got I had issues - WiFi not working, dirty bed , door is not openning. After I got a room - I went out until late at night just to come back and find out that the shower also was dirty - women's hair and curtain with stains. Not recommended at all, look for another hotel guys.

Stayed here for 3 nights with 3 people. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable enough for us to relax and chill with family. The breakfast was simple and not bad at all. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and enjoyed our time here. 😊

It was a good experience, the location was very good. We didn't have breakfast because we wanted taste halal food. Street food was very delicious.

Close to grand palace, walking distance but there are better choices around. Reception and corridors are old. The room decorations is ok, modern style but there are cockroach if you leave food on the table. Lots of homeless and random people approach us in front of the hotel which is a bit lack of security.
