A wonderful stylish hotel with a great history. The location was central however you do need to take 5 minute boat ride to get to the hotel. The plus side was that this made you feel like you had escaped the city.

The 24 hour boat transfer is great. The room is very spacious and clean. The staff are very nice. The swimming pool is not big but it is enough to relax. This is a very unique hotel. I will recommend other friends to stay next time

Wanted to stay at this hotel for a long time because I like heritage hotel. Hotel has the heritage but not well kept. Smell of mould inside room. Getting to hotel is difficult if you do not know how to get to the peer. The breakfast was good and the dinning room is beautifully decorated. All in all , stay was so so and won't be back soon.

Best place for best memorial

Beautiful old Palazzo on the banks of the river with private boat available on demand to traverse to the other side! A wonderful sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok but still only a few meters from the lively Khao San Road district. Lovely outdoor pool but the bar was only available on request - there were plenty of loungers and pool towels available. We ate Christmas dinner at the restaurant and it was superb - although the service was a little too quick for a 7 course dinner. There was not 'official' outdoor dining but the staff were happy for us to take our breakfast to the few tables outside by the pool. We were in a ground floor room and it was a little too dark with not enough mirrors, but the bed was comfortable and there was a large bath and powerful shower with lots of hot water. The staff were all charming and friendly. The hotel arranged transfers for us to and from airport - much cheaper leaving than arriving as we were met by a driver with a limo and returned in a regular taxi.

The location is very good and makes it a special place to stay in Bangkok. It’s an old house, so don’t expect all the facilities found in modern hotels. But the charm of this hotel also lies on that, plus the small size. The only down side is the access. If you’re coming for the first time, it’s not easy to find the pier where the hotel “vaporetto” will pick you up as the Mai’s access to this place is by boat. And if you return to the hotel after 10:30pm, the access is quite peculiar. You need to walk along very narrow alleys, like a maze. But definitely a place to return.

A very distinctive hotel. Although there is only one pier as the entrance to the hotel, the private boats that are available 24 hours a day are very convenient. It only takes two minutes to get to the public pier on the other side. If you need to take the Chao Phraya River transport boat, you can wait directly on the floating board after getting off the boat. There is no need to queue. It is like a fast priority channel. You can buy tickets after uploading. I felt a little embarrassed when I saw tourists from various countries queuing outside after buying tickets several times. The hotel staff are very enthusiastic and will take the initiative to take pictures for guests. The second floor of the hotel is the old house of Rama V, which can be visited. There is a Michelin-starred dish in the restaurant on the first floor, which is very delicate and delicious. Onions, pomelo and fried rice are mixed together without any sense of disobedience. 

An antique hotel, well worth trying. However, because it is an old house renovated, the soundproofing is particularly poor. The Chinese people next to me spoke very loudly at midnight, and they only became quiet after knocking on the door. You will be awakened by the cry of unknown creatures very early in the morning. People who have trouble sleeping should choose carefully!

This is an exquisite, small and beautiful hotel. You need to take the hotel's special boat to enter and exit. If you want to go back to the hotel after going out in the middle of the night, you need to call the hotel front desk to pick you up at the pier. Those who are not good at English are advised to pass by. The guests staying here are basically foreigners. The restaurant on the first floor has been selected by Michelin. It has a Thai atmosphere and the staff's heartfelt service makes the experience very good. Let's talk about the room facilities. The air conditioning is sufficient. The bathroom uses a bathtub, and there is no separation between dry and wet. After taking a shower, there is a lot of water on the ground. Be especially careful. I accidentally slipped and broke a porcelain shower gel bottle and paid 500 baht for compensation. There is a safe in the room. After putting it in, it couldn't be opened. I called the front desk and they quickly helped me solve the problem. In terms of catering, there is a food street nearby, about 200 meters away, with all kinds of food, which is very convenient. To sum up, this is a very niche hotel, a five-star recommendation~ I will definitely stay here next time I go.

The room was very damp. The night shift receptionist was quite nice. The fat receptionist with contact lenses was not so enthusiastic. She was very enthusiastic to Lao Bai. The hotel was small and not crowded. It was opposite the Khao San Pier. The accommodation was average. There was a night market there. It was mostly European and American. The food was not expensive. One dish was equivalent to about RMB 30. There were also many big stores. Be careful not to mix green leaves with street drinks and food. There were many homeless people on the street. It was around 7 or 8 o'clock in the evening. It was already creepy. There were too few Chinese people there. If you go out for a walk, it's safer to have more people. I was a woman with my daughter and I was getting more and more scared. The morning buffet was OK. Most of them were Western cold food. You could choose wonton or porridge when ordering.

Thank you for upgrading my room when I checked in. Unfortunately, the hotel facilities are a bit old. I had dinner at the Michelin restaurant downstairs on the first night, and the food was great! The price was reasonable. Unfortunately, I was besieged by mosquitoes at night and didn't sleep well all night. After reporting it, they helped spray the medicine, and the mosquito problem has been solved since then. But it rained on the second night of my stay, and the roof leaked, and I was woken up in the middle of the night by the sound of clattering. I reported the situation to the front desk, and they said they would arrange for repairs. But there was no improvement at all. On the third night, it was still dripping as usual. The roof is high, and the sound of water drops hitting the wooden floor is very loud, especially when I sleep at night. Seeing the water marks on the roof and the discolored floor on the floor, I immediately knew that the leak was an old problem.

A great treasure hotel! Since our flight was late, we arrived at the hotel around 23:00. When we arrived at the phra athit pier, we called and the boat came quickly! The service is very enthusiastic! Breakfast is also very delicious! It is a small and historic colonial building, said to be a royal residence. I am really honored to stay in such a beautiful place. We booked a riverside suite. When we open the window in the morning, we can hear the singing of birds and the fragrance of flowers, which is like a secret place on earth. The only drawback is that the hygiene is average. The towels should be stained after being used for a long time. The unstable water pressure can be completely ignored! The staff were so welcoming and always on call. Even when the boat came back late from dinner in the evening, they were still waiting for us at the dock! If you think their service is good, you can leave your tip in the box on the boat.

I really like this hotel, but it does require crossing a river to reach it. But in fact, the straight-line distance is very short. The boat ride may only take 5 minutes, right? The 7-day tourist phone card I bought can be used to call the front desk to be picked up by the boat, so there is no problem with transportation and it is very convenient. When we took a taxi, we located the health store next to the alley. Yes, when you get off the boat, you have to pass through a short alley selling clothes and souvenirs. It seems that the price of the hotel has been rising since I booked it, and the name of the hotel has also been changed from Praia Palace Hotel to Marina Palace, but in fact the garden and swimming pool are not big, it is just the feeling of a small tropical garden that hit my heart. The room is really, really small. The window in the picture is actually not easy to open. The hot water is not bad, but there is no shower room. People have to jump into the bathtub to rinse. But the bed is still very comfortable, and the wardrobe has a bit of a smell, maybe it's the smell of history? The service of the fleet is really good, and the butler at the front desk is also okay. Although they gave me a drink coupon and said they would take me there, they actually didn’t take me with them, and the coupon was wasted in the end. The worst thing was the breakfast. No one cared about us at all. I asked a waiter if they only had the ones in the picture and he said yes! Later, after I repeatedly asked, a "deaf" waitress appeared and gave me 2 breakfast orders and asked me to check them. As a result, my shrimp porridge was delivered quickly (it was lukewarm), but my boyfriend's was completely forgotten. In the end, I could only get angry and reluctantly sent another cold porridge, which made me very speechless. So, if you like this environment, you can really go, but just give up on breakfast! The accommodation has a shuttle boat. The atmosphere is Thai and shady, suitable for relaxing. Went during Valentine's Day and the staff were lovely and friendly, ready to help and facilitate a surprise for my girlfriend. Very cute.
