Had a really lovely stay, the hosts where really nice and helpful, the lady serving breakfast made me feel right at home whilst having my breakfast, provided gf bread /soya milk for my meal which was great. The room was comfy for one person and the bed was super comfortable. Would highly recommend this place

Immaculate premises, run by a hugely friendly and all round lovely Bristolian lady. Being from Bath, we chatted a lot. Superior rooms were huge, bright, spotless with every facility (inc Nespresso machine). Decent shower, comfy beds, easy parking right outside. Breakfast was excellent. We found Bangor itself to be a bit run-down (not as much as its Welsh counterpart), but Shelleven has to be the best option to stay in the entire area. Rarely do I eat or stay anywhere that is faultless, but I cannot think of a single thing worthy of any criticism. Superb, highly professional guest house. 100% recommended.

Excellent service and facilities. Sue and the team can’t do enough to help. My team have been staying at Shelleven for some time after previously using a well known purple chain of hotels. They find the personal service, rooms and breakfast excellent.

It was a pleasure to return to Shelleven House again after a long gap since my last visit. My welcome was just the same - warm and friendly. Sue and Paul are genuinely interested in making the stay comfortable. The rooms and public areas are spotlessly clean. Breakfast has been carefully selected to include a wide variety of choices and local ingredients. The location is close enough to wander into the town but only a 10 minute walk to local transport. I would highly recommend a visit!

Beautiful clean place, great sea views. Very helpful friendly hosts. Plenty of onsite parking. Perfect position for walking into town. Loads of restaurants and bars. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend. Unfortunately didn't have time to stay for breakfast but smelt amazing!

Lovely Boutique Hotel. We would stay there again. The rooms were beautifully decorated, very charming, comfortable, with a cozy sitting area complete with overstuffed chairs to sit, relax and enjoy the views looking out to the Marina. Breakfast tables were set beautifully every morning and the meal was ordered from a diverse menu, excellent. Convenient Train station to Dublin right down the Street. Lots of restaurants nearby.

Oh my goodness, I am definitely coming back. The staff were so friendly and accommodating and the room was beautiful! Spacious, clean, inviting and even had a little sunny patio to have a glass of wine in the evening and a coffee in the morning. Location was superb- right next to the marina and some lovely beaches if you like a morning run/ stroll or seaswim! Thank you. I loved it. x

The guest house was brilliant, during my stay I felt: a welcoming atmosphere, a delicious breakfast and an excellent night's sleep. The room felt spacious and relaxing. I would 100% recommend it and cannot wait to come back.

It was our second visit to Sue and Paul’s guest house. A lovely warm welcome awaited us. The room we had was at the top of the house with a view of the sea. Beautifully decorated. Fab modern touches like a Wi-Fi mirror in the bathroom and the best stocked tea/coffee tray in the whole of Ireland! I loved the coffee machine and pods. Very clean and comfortable throughout. Superior linens and bedding. Breakfast - plenty of choices, cooked fresh and served in a beautiful dining room. The lady who was the breakfast server was so friendly and attentive. I can see why Shelleven has won award after award. Plenty of room to park the car and only a short walk from the harbour. I really can’t sing Shellevens praises any higher. Perfect and we will return. Thanks Sue and Paul.
