Mercure Pontianak City Center

Stayed at Mercure Pontianak. Pros: prime location, affordable price, and excellent breakfast selection. Cons: as a Mercure property I expected more in terms of service and room upkeep. It’s decent value, but didn’t fully live up to the brand standard.

Stayed for 4 days and 3 nights. The room was spacious, and both the bed and pillows were very comfortable, which made our stay more enjoyable. However, the air conditioning was not cold throughout our stay. I reported the issue to the hotel and requested that it be checked, but unfortunately, no effective action was taken. Thankfully, we had brought along a small stroller fan, which helped keep us cool during the night. However, I did not enjoy the cigarette smoke smell that seemed to linger throughout the hotel, as it affected the overall atmosphere and comfort of our stay.

This hotel is strategically located in the center of Pontianak, with walkable distance to Ayani Megamall & Museum Kalimantan Barat. Check-in was a breeze, room was clean, except for the bathroom, where there were noticeable black mold near to the shower heads. The experience of showering was not that good, due to the unfavourable scene of the black mold, and also, damp smell whenever I entered the shower cabin. I also went to the spa, while the massage is decent, the person-in-charge made comments like - well, I am not a cashier, so I don't have change. To which, I feel like it is a bit not professional.

Good place to start your journey in pontianak!

We had requested for non-smoking room, end up we are been located on smoking floor (7th storey). Room 724 aircon wasn't functioning well is so hot till we cannot sleep well at night. Room flooring condition is bad, include the toilet and doors.

Hotel room is nice & comfortable. Hotel staff are pleasant & provide caring helpful service.

A great stay. Breakfast is variety. Can get access to e hailing. Very close to shopping mall also pasar. Also very near to universities. There's a small kiosk that sells local products n including handicrafts. Worth the stay.

Good recommendations from a friend living in PnK. Hotel meets my expectations & experience with the girl is fantastic. Friendly & helpful Staff very customer focused. Location is good next to the Ayani mall. No complaints. Definitely will choose the hotel for my next stay.
