Medan Hotels with Bars

Booked 2 rooms for 4 guests via trip.com with an additional request for rooms with a connecting door. In the trip.com app, we intentionally correctly filled all the guest details for each rooms. Upon checkin, the hotel’s front desk said they cant accommodate the connecting room request because they say it was booked under different names. Sadly they used this opportunity to argue with us, printing out in front of ourselves with their printer on the front desk: 2 separate reservations under different names (Maybe since we intentionally filled those guest names correctly? But the contact number and email is still the same, no?). From it we briefly saw all details like the 2 different reservations numbers they used as the crucial evidence, and how our booking was routed through ******* (From this detail one could argue the request was lost through the flawed trip.com system. Yet the hotel could’ve investigated and be more proactive after seeing a reservation for one room asking for connecting doors??). I thought hotel guests checking in at night only wanted rest, not attending trial??? Although to be fair in the end they got us 2 connecting rooms, albeit at a low floor (after the unnecessary bargaining). They required Rp200K as deposit. Room was clean, with a very useful Korean brand smart tv. Functional hair dryer, good lighting, with an in-room safe, and a small fridge/chiller. Breakfast could’ve been better, but there’s a lot of cafes and restaurants within walking distance. We got valet parking but didn’t pay for it, was it complimentary because of the limited parking space this hotel has, or did we get it as compensation/goodwill, we never knew (this was not explained at check in).

The staffs were very friendly and helpful. Service with a smile. The location was great and the hotel was clean and orderly.We got our room at 20th floor with good view of the city The amenities were all functioning especially the gym, sauna, steambath and jacuzzi. The f&b staff were also very helpful and obliging. Only 1 incident where a female guest brought her 2 sons about 12 years old into the female section of the sauna/steambath/jacuzzi area which was distressing to my wife. The staff on duty was not around to help correct the situation. Nevertheless upon our complaint they were very apologetic n assured us it was an oversight n necessary action will be taken to avoid its recurrence. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there n also ate at their Jade Restaurant on 2 occasions. We have no doubt we will be back to this hotel in future

At late evening check-in they had no non-smoking room available. They upgraded me free of charge into a non-smoking room - very good service attitude. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. A safety deposit should be added and may also some painting/photo as wall decoration. Breakfast for IDR 100,000 is good value. Laundry service is excellent and fair priced

IT'S JUST FANTABULOUS EXPERIENCE STAY IN THE PROPERTY HONESTLY. LOCATION JUST BEYOND IMAGINABLE DISTANCE AS WELL AS EASY ACCES TO THE CITY. ROOMS ARE COMFORTABLE TO STAY AS WELL AS FRONT DESK AND HOUSEKEEPING HOSPITALITY. GOOD MANNER WELL TRAINED STAFFS. FANTASTIC BREAKFAST HAS BEEN SERVED. HAPPY STAY IN THIS HOTEL TQS AND REGARDS

We stayed here this time for 3 nights. We had stayed here a couple of times before. The hotel maintains its hospitality, warmness and courtious reception of customers. It was quite easy to check in and out. The staff from front desk to housekeeping were friendlyand warm. There are little things that should be paid attention to such as the menu for breakfast.. Although the spread is good but there should be some variation/changes. Overall staying here you get value for your money.

I always choose Ibis Pattimura when I first landed in Medan because mostly I took the late night flight from Kuala Lumpur. The reception was good and overall service was good. But one thing that is always happen is the noises on the corridor (people talking, kids running on the corridor) and its not sound proof and it caused me lack of sleep. Hopefully the management taking action on this matter or the security or housekeeper staff will regularly check the floor to avoid this bothering noise from neighbours room or corridor.  Thank you Trip.com to provide platform to raise voice or small spaces to provide feedback

Hotel is in good location. Staff service was good and the breakfast was good too. However I had a bad experience with their in-hotel massage service. At the end of the massage, she insisted that I tipped her and told me that the price on the flyer was the old price. When I asked what’s the new price, she couldnt answer me. She stood in the room and didn’t want to leave unless I tipped her, saying that the other hotels charge more expensive. I told her the price is already not that cheap. In the end, i gave her a small tip and she finally left. Other than this bad experience, the hotel is quite ok for stay.

Excellent hotel, clean and big room, delicious meals, and strategically located.

Room is clean with all amenities including a safe box but is small. Some distance away from major happenings except the malls( Cambridge/Sun plaza), which also need 15-20 min walk. Breakfast is not good. Parking is provided though.

At least if guest come 30 minutes before check-in time should be allowed. Every country allow 1 hour in advanced. Took 2 days continuous flights so much tired and the staff not allowing check-in because still 30 minutes remaining. And inside room condition also just so so.
