Great
SSeraphinaXianThe hotel lobby is spacious, and the computers for internet access are readily available. Breakfast is à la carte and quite tasty. The front desk service is friendly and prompt in handling any issues. The only drawback was that the bed sheets, duvet covers, and pillowcases in the room hadn't been changed. It was obvious that the housekeeping had simply re-laid the bed after the previous guest left. We found stains on the inside of the duvet cover and small particles under the pillows. After reporting this to the front desk, they said they would notify them to replace them, but in reality, the housekeeping didn't change them; they just left a duvet on the bed, and only the duvet insert was on it. We found a single duvet cover and fitted sheet for an extra bed in the closet and changed them ourselves, but they weren't the right size. Everything else was great, especially the front desk staff who were very welcoming.
BbyudgThe room is large, the bed is quite comfortable to sleep on, the lights are adequate and there are many switches, and charging is very convenient. There is also a warm spray bottle to help you fall asleep and spray it on the pillow to help you sleep well.
There is a warm fireplace at the front desk of the hotel and a heated swimming pool in the gym. I went swimming for half an hour in the morning. The water was slightly cold, but it was very enjoyable.
Breakfast is not included in the room rate, so there is no experience.
There is a burger shop next to it. There are some places to eat within 4-5 minutes of driving, which is very convenient. The Tesla factory is nearby, but I regret not making a reservation to visit.
Hotel parking is $10 a night. There are charging piles in the parking lot, but they are always occupied, so we drove to the fast charging station in Walmart to charge.
The hotel charged me a few dollars for the Internet access. I wonder if one of us pressed an upgrade button by mistake. I checked with the front desk and he helped me apply for cancellation with the finance department, but the service fee of more than 1 yuan cannot be canceled. The handling was fairly efficient and friendly, and I was very satisfied!
The hotel deposit is US$75 in advance.
AAnonymous UserThe room is nice, quite big, clean and tidy, no slippers and toiletries, there is a coffee machine to boil water, the breakfast buffet has a lot of varieties, the service attitude is good, the sound insulation effect of the room is not good, the guests next door were so noisy until one o'clock in the morning on the last day Just stopped
SShikano3If you have something to do at UC Berkeley, this hotel is the best place to stay with following reasons.
(1) Best Location - The nearest to the UC Berkeley, (2) Staff there is super nice and friendly. It made my stay so comfortable.
In a meanwhile, you need to bear in mind that (1) Facility is old, (2) you need to bear additional cost, such as Overnight Self Parking 37.00, and (2) Property Amenity Fee 25.00, (3) Property Amenity Fee City Occupancy Tax 3.00, that are not cheap.
Overall, I'm satisfied with my choice!
GGuest UserI used to stay at this hotel multiple times in the course of visiting family in the area. Parking was free, the hotel was well kept, and the free chocolate chip cookies were delicious.
No more. The hotel installed a gate to the parking area, made no other visible changes, and now charges $40 per car per night. This is not downtown LA, this is a hotel located out in an open area away from crowded areas, with just a couple of adjacent commercial buildings nearby. There seems to be no reason to charge THIS LEVEL of overnight parking except to transfer funds from you to them.
But more than that, the hotel has gotten noticeably shabbier. Dings and scuffs in hotel hallways not repaired, duct tape used as a ”fix” for torn and worn hallway carpeting, and even the cookies aren't as good. I will stay somewhere else next time.
JJayshi1211I recently stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott in Fremont, and overall, it was a comfortable experience. The room was clean and modern, with a cozy bed—perfect after a long day in Silicon Valley. The free parking was a huge plus, and having a Starbucks right in the lobby made mornings easy.
The only downside was road construction nearby, which made some noise during the day. But if you’re out exploring most of the time, it’s not a big issue. For a business trip or short stay, this hotel is a solid choice—great comfort and convenience at a reasonable price.
GGuest UserThe hotel itself was fine. But I was very disappointed to learn that parking at the hotel was an additional $50/night. Also - when checking in they charge you a mandatory $27 'convenience fee'. This entitles you to a $7 credit at the snack bar - where a bag of M&Ms cost $6. And this is just a regular size bag, not shareable, and a $10 credit at the restaurant if you spend $30. I will not go back because it really felt like I was being nicked and dimed.
GGuest UserThe roadside is quite noisy, the swimming pool is under construction, breakfast offers two or three options, coffee is unlimited, and the hygiene is relatively good. However, there is no kettle or teacup in the room; everything is disposable.
000lin1The hotel is very clean and the environment is quite new. It is just a little expensive. There is breakfast. The front desk lady is friendly. There are many Chinese restaurants and Chinese supermarkets nearby. If you are visiting the United States for the first time, it is a good place to stay.
MMatt ConnHad a really solid stay at this Marriott downtown. Three things stood out:
The view from our room was awesome - great skyline views that made the stay feel special. Worth asking for a higher floor.
The room was nice - clean, modern, and spacious. Everything was in good shape and felt updated. Good digs overall.
Breakfast was excellent. Plenty of variety, everything fresh, and they kept it well stocked. Actually worth getting up for.
Staff was helpful and the downtown location worked great for getting around. Would definitely stay here again.
