I stayed here 14 years ago with my sister; this time with my husband. It was as lovely as ever. A great location, breakfast and staff. We were able to walk to many sights including the Palau de las Music, the waterfront, and street of discord. It was an easy cab ride to Sagrada Familia.

Had a layover in Barcelona at Hotel Roger de LLúria. A wonderful gem in the heart of the cities bustling downtown life; close to everything! Our room was just as seen on the website only better. Hotel Director Enric Garcia Arcauz and the morning Concierge provided an absolutely wonderful first impression which did not disappoint our expectations; especially, considering that we had been referred to this beautiful hotel by friends. The entire hotel team were wonderful and generous with their knowledge of the city, its cultural richness, populate tourist sites and less known wonders. I would absolutely make this a destination stay for our future stays.

Jessica at the front desk was so amazing and professional with us during our stay. She is super polite and helpful with all of our questions and needs. Great room and super nice hotel. Great location right in the hart of the city. Next time I come to Barcelona I will stay here again!!!

PROS Great location. The room was comfortable and clean. Also, the air conditioning worked very well (once I figured out how to turn it on! Hint for other travelers: there is a button on top of the thermostat that needs to be depressed.) It was an interior room. As the website made clear, interior rooms are small and faced an inner courtyard-- but I didn't mind that, and I felt it was a very fair trade off for the reasonable price. CONS There needs to be better noise insulation from inside noises. Every time anybody on the floor closed their door or spoke in the hallways, it echoed inside my room. This was a particular problem for me around bedtime-- it seemed like it was mostly Spaniards in the hotel with me, and I think they go to bed later than I do, which meant there was a fair amount of door-closing and chatting while I was trying to sleep.

Great location for sightseeing, friendly staff who helped us with everything including checking us in early after an overnight flight, HUGE rooms for Europe, good breakfast with many selections for all, comfy beds, air conditioning. No complaints!
