Hotel well located quite close to the beach and in a quiet alley but close to shops, restaurants, metro and Sants station.
Bonus point: the receptionist speaks French and there are also French tourists.
Downside: the wifi ... we didn't get a good signal on the top floor

In Barcelona, where hotel prices are expensive, a budget of under €50 per night for a private room is attractive. I didn't expect the price to be the only price, but it betrayed my expectations in a good way.
Very close to Las Ramblas, 10 minutes walk to Plaza Catalunya. (The nearest metro station is Drassanes on the L3 line)
The room is clean and has a toilet and shower. (In this price range, most are shared toilets and showers.)
Amenities were also small, except for the toothbrush.
1 small bottle of mineral water + tea pack, free coffee powder stick. (I have a kettle, so I'll use that)
The refrigerator is empty.
A large suitcase can be spread out in the single room, but it will feel a little cramped.
English is spoken at the front desk 24 hours a day. (Arrival late at night is OK)
Breakfast is included for €6. (Tell the front desk when you check in and pay) → The contents are common continental style (cheese, ham, sweets, etc.), but all you can eat. (Available hours 8:00 am to 10:00 am) I think there is no loss even if you add the same content at a cafe on Las Ramblas from about €8.
Everything was more than expected.

Basic hotel. Good price. Great location and secure parking available for €20 for 24 hrs. Reception allowed us to keep the car parked for longer than 24 hrs to suit our onward travel. Rooms clean and quiet. Friendly staff. Perfect for exploring. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Good hotel in the center of Barcelona. Nearby La Rambla. Staff is nice and friendly. We did not try the breakfest service if €6,- per person because of the various options nearby. (Also, the front desk guy told us to first check it out before choosing and paying.)

Very good location, close to the beach, and the Gothic area. Lots of very good restaurants within walking distance. Very basic rooms, but clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Close to the metro, lots of shops nearby. I would stay here again.

Lovely hotel which definitely deserves more than its one star rating. It is situated in a perfect location, only a 5/10 minute walk to La Rambla and the metro and a 5 minute walk into the Gothic Quarter square where there are lots of restaurants and shops. We had a triple room which was a great size, comfortable and clean. Our towels were replaced, we had toiletries, a selection of teas and bottles of water. The receptionists were all very friendly and helpful; giving us information around the metro lines, the city itself and booking a taxi for the airport. Will definitely be coming back!

Location of hotel perfect to explore Barcelona. Convenient to metro. Hotel was spotless, towels and toiletries provided. They were in process of replacing all beds on our floor when we arrived. Our room was a tripple, and it was spacious. We slept very well, bed comfortable and hotel very quiet. Had dealings with the 3 different men manning reception during our stay. They were all very helpful and polite. Breakfast was continental with plenty of everything and a good choice. Very satisifying. They stored our bags on the last day until we were heading to the airport. This is a no frills hotel but was perfect for us during our short, busy trip. Could not fault hotel in any way. Would recommend it in a heartbeat.

A brilliant value for money hotel. Very comfy and clean and a good continental breakfast selection every morning. The location of this hotel is excellent being very close to the Ramblas and the Gothic Quarter and the Marina and very close to lots of Barcelona’s main attractions. Very close to the metro, buses and taxis. If you want to visit Barcelona on a budget I can recommend this hotel.

This hotel is basically one step above a hostel, but in the heart of the gothic quarter it is a very good deal for the price. Taxis are reluctant to go down the street it is located on, so we had to drag our luggage down the cobblestones about 1/2-1 block depending where the taxi stops. Check in was supposed to be at 2, but when we arrived at 2:30 there was some sort of “delay” and the lobby was full of people waiting for rooms. There is no secure place to drop luggage and after about 20 minutes of waiting I asked how long the delay would be and was told our room would be ready in about 5 minutes. After ten minutes we were told that our room was ready, but all the others were still sitting there. Our room was very clean and had been newly remodeled, but it was very small, with twin beds and a small desk. We were only there for one night, but it would not have worked for any longer. Breakfast was included but very simple, toast, donuts, meats, cheese, yogurt, pieces of fruit, coffee and juice. One word of warning, when you come through the entrance there are immediately two steps down. My husband was dragging the luggage through the door going backwards and fell. Fortunately he landed on his feet and was not hurt but it could have ended badly.

Excellent location, a couple of minutes away from the cruise port. Around the corner are many restaurants and bars, a laundromat, bakeries and so much more. Walking distance from the beach, la Rambla, port Vell, and plaça Reial. The Hop on Hop off tour buses are just down the street. We stayed there in August for 4 nights, got on our cruise and came back to spend our last night before heading back home to Canada. It was clean, the staff was friendly and we felt very secure. There is a safe in every room. We will definitely stay there again when we go back. It’s comfortable, affordable and perfectly located.

This hotel is a few streets away from Las Rambles , easy walking distance to the metro, hop on hop off bus & to the cruise bus. I had a single room that was small but had everything I needed fridge and safe.I arrived around 1200 & was able to check in, when my card wouldnt work one of the housekeeping staff let me into the room. you can get breakfast for 6 Euros again simple breakfast coffee, juice, meats and pastries , enought to get you going in the morning, To get to the hotel from the airport, you take the L9 metro then the L3 its about a 10 min walk from the metro .
