Red Rose Inn Bed & Breakfast

What a lovely stay with wonderful hosts! This beautiful old home is a delightful and convenient launching point to explore beautiful, historic Bardstown. Dave and Susan are attentive hosts, while giving you the space to make yourself at home. And their breakfast is delicious and abundant! Don’t miss this place!

We had a wonderful 3-day stay at the Red Rose Inn! Our room was very clean, bed was super comfy and location was perfect for walking the town. David and Susan were impeccable hosts and truly care for their guests. From their delicious breakfasts to their fresh baked cookies at night, and stock of water and soda, we were well taken care of. We enjoyed our conversations with them and learning about the local history. They made this trip extra special and we look forward to returning!

Everything from the accommodations to the food to our host were outstanding! It was like stepping back in time to our slower, more peaceful place. Would definitely stay here again. Our host were very helpful on where to eat and how to get two different places in town.

This was our second time staying at the Red Rose Inn and it was just as delightful as the first. This family genuinely cares about all of their guests and does whatever they can to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Breakfast every morning was delicious, the company was great and our rooms were impeccable. On our last morning there we had mentioned we wouldn’t need breakfast because we needed to get on the road, but were still sent out the door with a bag of snacks for the road. It is a very short walk to the downtown area and is surrounded by other beautiful homes. It definitely feels like another world and you won’t want to leave. We can’t wait to visit again!

The Red Rose Inn, at first appears to like any other BnB. Warm, Friendly, Clean and accommodating. But once inside you are embraced by the charm of the surroundings, and the simple welcoming of the staff. Unfortunately, I didn't get to meet David and Susan, the proprietors of the Inn, but spent enough time on the phone with David to know he is a terrific person. He was like the Uncle everyone wants to spend time with at Christmas. Karen, Kathy and especially Vickie reflect Davids personality perfectly. Breakfast is provided everyday, and everyone in the house ate at the same time. Being a table of 8, we got to meet everyone staying at the house, and got to know a little about each other over a delicious assortment of pastry, eggs, and fruits. Vickie was a delight, and entertained us during breakfast with her fascination stories of Bardstown, Churchill Downs, and history of Bourbon. I highly recommend the Red Rose, and would be surprised if your stay was anything short of excellent.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this comfortable B & B ! The hosts, David and Susan, are most courteous and friendly with full knowledge of Bardstown to help with touring the town. We were served a nice breakfast with other couples to create a memorable experience! Our accommodations were clean and comfortable. The location is perfect for “ walking town”. You won’t get this experience with a chain hotel!

Our first stay at a BnBreakfast - amazing! David and Susan were wonderful hosts; so knowledgeable about area. The "Garden Room" was exactly as pictured, but maybe even nicer! Wonderful breakfast. Don't pass this up!

We loved our 2 nights at the Red Rose Inn. David and Susan were fantastic hosts. The rooms and the bed were outstanding and the breakfasts were excellent. Their knowledge of the area and suggestions of things to do was very helpful. Being able to walk a block to downtown was also a plus. We will be back.

We had very pleasant and friendly hosts. We enjoyed our comfortable room and bed within walking distance to town. We really enjoyed our stay and conversations here and highly recommend it. Susan's breakfast was wonderful, and David was very helpful and accommodating.
