Hotel la Palma Romántica

It's getting worse. Staff with no experience in hospitality make you wait forever to be served in a mediocre way. It's a real shame, since it's a hotel that I've known for more than 20 years and that was a true icon on the island of La Palma. Nowadays only a few foreigners come here who regret it once they have experienced such a sad experience.

Good for a stopover but no more! Very basic breakfast. Very average spring bedding. For the facilities An outdoor pool at 15 degrees Indoor pool 18 and the jacuzzi at 22... So meh.. The worst!! Dinner!! Arrival at 8:15 p.m. served at 10 p.m.!! Not even a glass of water or a piece of bread to keep us waiting! Not even 1 cent on the bill!!!

L’hôtel est resté dans son jus comme on dit mais c’est ce que recherchions : une bâtisse magnifique avec une vue magnifique ! La chambre était propre et même si elle aurait besoin d’être un peu rafraîchie, cela enlèverait tout le charme de l’établissement. Piscine extérieure et intérieur que nous n’avons pas utilisées. Le petit déjeuner est bien copieux avec des produits de gamme basique mais étant donné le tarif de la nuitée (80€ à 2 avec le petit déjeuner) on ne peut pas espérer mieux. Le restaurant le soir est bon, produits frais, cuisinés au moment. Le serveur est très sympathique et la salle du même genre que l’hôtel : authentique. Vous êtes au bout du monde au nord de l’île et cela fait du bien pour un bon break. Nous sommes restés 2 nuits et c’est parfait.

What I'm going to tell you is beyond fiction, we are in shock. Tired and disappointed to an indescribable level. We just arrived from Tenerife today, July 29, 2022. We had a reservation at this hotel. What we thought would be a weekend to disconnect has basically turned into a nightmare. We arrived today, July 29, at 10:30 p.m. at the hotel from the airport. Once there, they gave us the key and accompanied us to the room. While we were going down, the smell of humidity was not very good, but well, we did not give it importance. We arrived at the room, the girl got dirty and we entered. Well, here comes the best, not even a hidden camera would have described what we just experienced. Spiders on the ceiling, on the walls, on the curtains, on the light switches, and the more my friend killed, the more they came out. The problem is not that they are spiders, but that they are huge, HUGE!!! (I will upload photos because I cannot describe it with words). Obviously we couldn't sleep in that room, not even a joke. We called reception so the lady would come down to see. She came into the room, grabbed some toilet paper and started killing them, as if it was something normal. We were in shock as she killed them, and she told us it was normal, because she was in the middle of the countryside. But honestly, I'm a fan of rural houses, rural hotels and I'd never experienced anything similar in my life with spiders of that size and IN SO MANY QUANTITIES (and we didn't see them). Well, this isn't the worst, we're talking about 11:00 p.m. Obviously, after what happened in that room, we can't sleep. We're waiting for a solution, at least to spend the night, adding the time it was, and it was starting to rain more and fog. The only solution they give us is to give us our money back, because they don't have any more rooms. We tell them that we don't want the money, that they relocate us because we come from another island, it's 11:00 p.m. Again, the hotel's response is that they give us our money back and that's it. Basically they left us on the street, they didn't give us any kind of solution... she couldn't do anything. In short, 4 people left on the street at 11:00 PM, in the rain and not knowing where to spend the night. I'm really freaking out. Therefore, Hotel Palma Romántica has little more to add, thank you for everything!!
