When looking for a place to stay near or on a beach, this motel seemed like the best bet. It is located right across from one of Cape Cod's most popular beaches. Just leave your room and cross the street to the beach. No paying to park. Which is nice. And if spending all your time at the beach is what you plan to do on your trip to the Cape, this place may be the one for you. Parking is free, but spaces are extremely tight. And moving out of the parking space into traffic is a challenge. The office is only open from 9-5 but there is a number on the door you can call if you need assistance. There is ice available in the office, but you need to have someone there to get it for you. There is a soda machine outside the office, which charges $2.00 for a bottled drink. I can't speak for the other units, but the unit we stayed in, The Brewster room, was disappointing. If you want a room tucked away from the other rooms, this may be for you. It is the only room on the far right of the property, located under the stairs. There is a little sitting area that mainly looks out upon overgrown vegetation. Looking straight ahead you may be able to see a portion of the beach, if there isn't a car in the way. The interior does have a lovely beach-themed painting on the wall and two cute beach-themed lamps. Those were the best features. The beds were comfortable enough (I have slept on worse) and appeared to be clean. The carpet was soiled in many areas and is in great need of updating. There is a small table and two chairs next to the window, so if you don't want to sit outside and look at the overgrown vegetation, you can do it from inside. There isn't much of a view. There were a few flying insects within the room and one dead one on the windowsill. The TV has very limited channels and you must crane your neck to watch it, as it sits upon a type of cabinet. Inside the cabinet holds a mini fridge, which came in handy to keep our water bottles cold. There is a ceiling fan which did work but we ran the air conditioner instead, which worked just fine. There were plenty of outlets to plug in phone/tablet chargers, even the alarm clock had two available outlets for use. The bathroom is in need of an update. The pedestal sink had very limited space to hold any kind of toiletries. Above it is a shelf with a basket filled with washcloths and typical motel soaps and shampoos. Hand soap was provided, which was a nice feature because usually you have to use the motel bar soap which leaves a film on your hands. The toilet is crammed into the corner with very little space. The shower is a small space with a very low shower head. We were also low on toilet paper and there was not a spare roll provided when we arrived. We actually went out and bought our own roll because we needed some and the office was closed. The next day when housekeeping came in they did change the roll and provided us with a spare roll. I've stayed at many motels but never one where there was n
