If you're seeking late-night parties and DJs, this might not be the resort for you. Now, let's dive into the details. The resort is conveniently located just a 20-25 minute speedboat ride from Male airport. The atmosphere is very relaxed, and the island is small enough to walk around in 15-20 minutes. We stayed in a beach villa with a private pool and half-board. The pool was shaded by palm trees during the hottest parts of the day, and the beach was simply perfect. The online photos might appear a bit dated, but the reality is much better. Our dedicated butler, Reema, was incredibly kind and attentive, making our babymoon special with hot baths, flower arrangements, and private celebrations. She took excellent care of us throughout our stay. The resort features three restaurants and a charming bar. The food at Lime, the main restaurant, was exceptional—everything we tried was delicious. Although the breakfast buffet wasn't extensive, it was complemented by an à la carte menu that offered a variety of tasty options. Lala made our dinners extra special with his food recommendations and attentiveness to our preferences. Overall, our entire trip was a success, and the Baros team truly made it memorable. Things to know: - Transfers are chargeable by the hotel. Ensure you inform them of your arrival flight 2 days in advance and get confirmation on your transfer. - The hotel is very relaxed and private, making it ideal for newlyweds, honeymooners, and families with older children. - The resort offers daily activities, including excursions, snorkeling trips, cruises, yoga, and more. Some activities are chargeable, while others are free, and all necessary gear is available at the Marine Center at no cost. We would visit again.

This was my fourth trip to the Maldives but first in many years. In the past I always stayed at an island that required an airline transfer + flight which took another half-day or more. This time I chose Baros based off reviews, being part of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, and location. The location could not have been better. After landing in Male it took about 5 minutes to deplane + another 5 to go through immigration and customs. Moments later I was met by the hotel staff and placed on a speedboat. 30 minutes later was I was in paradise and headed to my villa. The entire staff was exceptional and Sita took care of EVERYTHING. The villa was beautiful, the beaches pristine, the meals delicious, the service top-notch, and the dolphin cruise was extraordinary. I cannot wait to return!

The rooms are comfortable, the island is peaceful, and the service is excellent. It is a great place to relax.

I like it very much. The room has been partially renovated and is suitable for snorkeling. I recommend it to everyone.

It was a beautiful island. From the airport reception to the final drop-off, the service was perfect and thoughtful. There were also many activities on the island. You could also go out to sea to see dolphins. It was a comfortable holiday.

A review from the heart: They say its all about the people where u go. Imagine being surrounded by the best team and staff AND a beautiful breathtaking island in the maldives. My husband and I visited Baros for 2 nights for our wedding anniversary and honestly everything exceeded our expectations. We actually thought we were going to just lay down at the beach but theres soooo much to do and explore on the island. We went on a snorkeling tour and saw a sea turtle and reef shark amongst a million beautiful fish. We kayaked, got a massage, went fishing, had incredible food (the lobster soup at lighthouse is beyond). Reema was our butler and she played a huge role in making sure we had the most amazing time- a true gem. Amongst the entire team from Hanaan, Anas, Ushan and literally everyone else we encountered on the island made the trip so special. They made sure to spoil us with great decorations in the room for our 1 year too which was a huge surprise! So much love to the team. Will definitely be back here

This is THE most relaxing and peaceful island I have ever been. I’m obsessed with sitting just in-front of the villa and looking at the sea quietly. My butler Reema is a very nice and thoughtful girl,she and the team provided us with a great experience.She made me a great surprise with a flowered bathtub.Also there are many activities arranged. We enjoyed the live band,the cityseeing tour and the yacht to the dolphins! I must say I got to come back soon in the future once I’m very stressful again. The island and the staff melted all my stress away with their hospitality and love

Baros Maldives is a fantastic place to stay. Not only is the island spectacularly beautiful, including the house reef with many sharks, turtles, and of course countless colourfull fishes, not only is the ressort incredibly great and very romantic, but most of all the staff, the "Baros people", are truly amazing. We had a wonderful time with you all. Thank you so so much for your kindness, sympathy and for always trying to make us feel even better. It was truly paradise ! I have to add that the people at the diving club were great, very helpful and super professional (thank you Ruben, Shuga, Ahmed, Marie), that the SPA is superb, with great Yoga classes, massages and facials (thank you Siti ) and that the food and drinks were all the best we ever had. The Lobster Curry at the Lime restaurant is must. Cocktail hour and Ocean degustation dinner at the Lighthouse are not to be missed, as is the teppanyaki dinner at the Cayenne Grill. Once again, thank you for making our stay unforgettable, and we cannot wait to come back !

We enjoyed our 4th stay at Baros, still 53 stays short of the record-holding couple. Being one of the first resorts to open in the Maldives over 50 years ago, service and attitude has evolved to near perfection. It is by far our favourite destination in the Maldives. This visit we experienced a bit more heavy weather than expected, but still enjoyed our stay immensly. On returning home one of the first things we did was arranging our trip for coming February . . . . what more can I say.

Paradise on earth? Baros Maldives is the ultimate destination. From the moment you step into Male, right after picking up your luggage, you will be welcomed by Baros's family. They will make you feel home from the moment you exit the airport. Our speedboat trip was 25mins, and it felt like 5mins from how relaxed we were with their hospitality. When we arrived to the Island, they welcomed us immediately and took us to our designated villa. This is our second visit, and I can assure you that there will be more. I would like to thank the Airport Staff, Speedboat crew, Hotel Management, Sita our butler, Sukma and Dayu from the Lighthouse lounge, Ibrahim and Abdulla from the Lime restaurant, Domi from the reception, and the entire Baros family. Thank you for everything.

There are few places in the world that offer you service with a constant smile, Baros Maldives is one of them. From the moment we stepped off our speed boat, my family and I were treated to a royal stay. Unaccustomed to so many freshly prepared meals, we were quickly surprised. Our special thanks to our outstanding butler Anas, who did make this holiday a once in a lifetime celebration. Our thanks to Hanaan, Meisi, Ibrahim, Michelle, Domi, Imran, Ankit and Alix. The dive centre's Ushan and Marie took great care of my young divers. If you want a home away from home, Baros Maldives will offer you the best time that you probably never knew you needed.
