Lovely staff who were very helpful. Comfy clean beds and spotless bathroom with power shower. However, the decor and carpets need updating. Rooms smaller than other Premier Inns I've stayed in. There is no lift to upstairs rooms so not good for anyone with mobilty problems or prams, even though the family rooms are upstairs! Also on our first night, 3 cars were broken into around 2am. Police called but I get the impression it has happened before. We ordered breakfast at the pub next door. Waited nearly an hour for cooked food which was not worth the wait. Overall, disappointed and would stay there again.

This Premier Inn was in a poor state. All the paintwork and carpets were scruffy and needed updating. The outside was dated too with windows, woodwork and paintwork needing some TLC. Good points (not many) was very nice staff, comfy bed and bathroom was not too bad. Bad points were scruffy place, no lift, bit smelly, outdated and broken furniture in room. Beefeater pub, well I would absolutely not step foot in there again. We went for breakfast and it was awful. Had to ask for plates, more continental to be put out and we waited 1 hour for our cooked and it was terrible. Half the food had obviously been sitting there for some time and was not very hot! Also a bit smelly. Your car is NOT SAFE in the car park. 3 cars were broken in to during the night and I think this was a regular occurrence there! We were worried sick the next night and did not sleep much! Glasses from the pub were all over the car park in the morning from the night before. All in all it was such a disappointment as we have been in some lovely Premier Inn’s and really enjoyed our stay. We have even purchased one of their mattresses for our dad in the past . I don’t know if this has put me off booking them in future. 100% NOT RECOMMENDED unless they update it but even then the car break ins are not good.

The hotel was clean and tidy inside. The receptionist was particularly helpful as I was on crutches. Our booked room was on the first floor and as soon as I asked if there was a possibility of having a ground floor room as I was on crutches, she was very helpful and changed our room. As we were due to go to a wedding a couple of hours later, she booked us in early so we could change in comfort. Our whole experience at the hotel was excellent.

Stay here a couple of times a year as its very close to friends flat. The hotel is looking very tired now and the carpets all need a deep clean. The paint work needs freshening up. The bannisters were sticky! The heat in the rooms almost unbearable overnight. The window was open as far as it would go, outside temperature was between 12° & 14°. The desk fan was on full all night. The noise in the courtyard area, under, the window after midnight was not great. You have to muck about paying for the parking as you leave, in a machine which is not under cover. Luckily the torrential rain had briefly stopped. If you drink or eat in the Beefeater yu have 3 hours free. If you stay overnight you pay £5! If I stay in a hotel that has a car park I dont expect to pay. There is no reason to book the car park is huge. Sorry Premier Inns are going downhill. Off to the independants who show pride and give service.

The hotel room was very hot. The fact reception warned us when we arrived the room was hot did not prepare us for the near sauna conditions. If it was mentioned in the booking, we would not have stayed. The remote did not work on the TV. When I mentioned it to reception, they knew it did not work. Which could be mentioned when we checked in. The USB port on one side of the bed did not work properly. The cutlery and cups in the breakfast kitchen were dirty. Parking could be for free. If the hotel mentioned the heat of the rooms at the time of booking, not when you are at the reception desk, then I would not have booked. Or they could give me a discount for the parking or the breakfast, even the room.
