From entering the hotel with a warm and friendly welcome from Lisa on reception, we felt relaxed straight away after a journey from Essex. Lisa checked us in even though we were early we decided to have lunch in the restaurant and wait for our room to be ready for us which was lovely and just right for our day ahead. We were then checked into our rooms and we had a lovely comfy room with plenty of light and space with a comfy bed and lovely pillows. The bathroom was a lovely size and they had an iron, hairdryer with tea and coffee making facilities, couple of mint chocolates to welcome us from the chambermaid, now this is where they went the extra mile, we were going to a Crowded House gig that evening and Lisa and Ellie between them both organised our 6 seater cab to pick us up from the hotel and to collect us from the gig knowing we would not be let down as they are a reliable cab company that they use and know well. We could all then sit and relax in the bar area having a drink and get together before we headed off for the gig. Post gig we came back in our cab and headed for the bar to mull over the fantastic gig we had just been to and celebrating my sister in laws birthday too which was lovely, the bar made was a really lovely girl and a good giggle too at that time of the night! xx We had a lovely nights sleep and got up and had breakfast in the restaurant which was plentiful and a broad selection of anything that you really wanted. I ordered poached eggs and they came out within minutes to add to my cooked breakfast and Lisa again was very cheerful and very accommodating to our every need and always with a smile too. We checked out with Murvin the new hotel manager who again was a pleasure to check out with and looked after us all. Thank you once again for a lovely and the most friendliest and helpful hotel I have been to in a long time and we do stay at a lot of hotels. Cheers Guys! Brian and Michele Millar xx

Hampshire Court Hotel & Spa

Staff were a little grumpy and room was a little old; carpet could have done with replacing. My room backed onto behind the building where apparently staff hung out or smoked, I heard a lot of loud conversations that I probably shouldn’t! Beds were comfy and they were fine with me bringing my cat, which was the main reason I chose it. Not terrible, not wonderful, did the job.

Homely accommodation, large sized room, peaceful and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was good quality and very enjoyable. Could tell their focus was on all round quality. Would highly recommend.
