The environment and facilities of the B&B itself are very good, and it is a very atmospheric accommodation. The biscuits in the room were delicious, and the meals provided by the B&B were also good, but not cost-effective (some dishes were a bit salty). The location is relatively remote, and I feel that people who stay here generally drive their own cars. We are a bit far away from Keswick and Derwentwater, and if the bus stops, we can only call to book a taxi. However, the overall accommodation experience is still very good!

My wife and I spent five nights at Ravenstone Manor, and it was bliss. It is an old hotel but impeccably maintained and creatively managed. A sense of domestic coziness reigns over the dining room, two bars with TV sets, and outside dining tables placed amidst astounding greenery. The rooms are spacious, always perfectly cleaned and offering a view to the Bassentwaithe Lake and the fells around it. The personnel is above friendly, attending to all customer's needs and caprices. A special feature is the food - a fusion of old English, European, and Indian cuisine - prepared by a chef with culinary imagination and special care to customers' taste. Prices are moderate and we felt that we got an enormous value for our money. In total, a hotel with no false pretences but a VERY high quality to all aspects of service that a visitor to the fantastic lakes would dream of. It exceeded our expectations.

We stayed at this wonderful hotel for 2 nights. We had a great time meeting up with my long lost brother and his wife. The views were incredible. The food was delicious and the staff were amazing and so friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. A very big thank you to everyone. We shall definitely come back. Well done.

Very pleasant break, good food and accomodation, excellent bar with Corby Blonde cask ale and good selection, Highly friendly and helpful staff, Very flexible accomodation and even more friendly for dogs. We also enjoyed a meal across the road in the Ravenstone Lodge, just for variety. It is equally as good and quite different. We are planning to revisit in the near future.

Our third visit to this fab hotel, everything about the place is spot on , stayed in room 6 fab views and a good sized comfortable room adequate bathroom with a bath and over shower , good bar selection , ok it's a hotel and prices reflect this [ £5.70 pint real ale £7 medium wine ] plenty of comfortable seating places , lounge area and a snug well decorated with quality furnishings . Food , breakfasts always good plenty of choice , we had 2 evening meals and again both were fine. This is the type of place you can book with confidence , a quality hotel backed up with quality staff all work very hard and are a credit to the hotel providing excellent service even when very busy. can't wait to go back.
