The hotel looks basic outside with stark 60s-70s box like structure but the insides are newly renovated, with sparkling spanking new lifts , and everything in rooms are new fresh mint clean and working. Brand new smart digital TV with thousands of stations world wide , and super strong super fast WiFi like your best office-grade internet service. Staff quick polite and attentive. Its a 3 star rated hotel that punches well above its official grading. Only down side is open air carpark with poor lighting at nite. Nice. I will patronize it again and again. Four thumbs up and smiles

My family and I have been checking into The Katerina Hotel since its opening whenever we visit our Malaysian relatives. We were pleasantly surprised that it has refurbished its furniture and furnishings to almost its original glory during our latest trip there. The five guests that had gone with us were also thoroughly impressed by the quality of the hotel for the price that we had paid. We were very glad we did not book the newly refurnished but more expensive hotel nearby and stayed loyal to The Katerina. I am not sure if The Katerina Hotel website states that it is newly refurbished and would highly recommend that it does so.

I was planning my Batu Pahat trip and searching for accommodation, then found many good reviews about this hotel; which recently just revamped the entire building. Totally agree with the reviews and it is even exceeding my expectations for a hotel like this in this small city. Greet by warm welcome immediately as I just arrived, the hotel lobby was so clean and chill. The room definitely marked 100% for me, which is very spacious and pleasant. They even provided complimentary snacks and drinks. If you need more drinking water, there's a water dispenser along the corridor as well. The bed is comfortable for me, with a side table to put your phone and stuff; plug necessary plugs to use. Smart TV is available in the room, which you can connect to Netflix and Spotify with your own account. There's even a mask sterilizer for you to keep your masks, coffee machine, small fridge, working table and safe in the room.

From the opening year of this hotel our group has been staying at Pinetree every year for the Chinese New Year Holidays. There is no good reason to go anywhere else, they always provide a high standard of service and maintain the rooms in good condition. My personal test for any hotel's breakfast quality is how good they can cook poached eggs and here they sure have the expertise, I have not been disappointed yet, sorry I forgot to take a photo of the perfect poached eggs. Over the years the wifi has improved and is now quite good on the floors we have occupied and in the public areas. The location is close to shopping and local services.

The service is good. Be careful with trip.com as i book for 2 rooms & also paid for 2 room but when i arrive at the hotel, they said they only receive a booking of 1 room & they even showed me the booking from their system. After 30minutes of discussing and i’m so lucky that night, someone checkout early and i get 2 rooms and the receptionist is very polite and helpful. Keep on apologise for things that is not their fault but i get a different room from what i booked but i think it is ok as all the hotel were fully booked. The door having problem which is nit functioning well but i just stay for 1 night so no problem with me. Others, i’m satisfied with the service and room. The room & toilet is very spacious and we have a good sleep. Thanks to the receptionist.

Good location budget hotel in Batu Pahat, booked the hotel at last minute with affordable price. Staffs provided an excellent service, they'll place the parking coupon for guest in the next morning. The Standard Twin Room just average, cleanliness could be better, good water pressure but slightly slow Wifi. Overall, it was a good stay!

We enjoyed the stay here very well. nice, large room, friendly, competent, professional staff, clean, good breakfast. so we stayed right for a 2. Night, and have looked at us the city and surroundings : for example, the Taman Recreasi Tasik Y Park in the middle of the dinosaurs, and the walk in the Soga Perdana Amenity Forest, where we also saw some monkeys. We are on a bicycle tour through Malaysia, our bicycles we could set in the hotel, in a neighborhood (trappearing house).

Hmm I really hope the management took into the issue of mould in their air con and also the toilet. The air con should be regularly serviced and blower cleaned. I had to clean myself otherwise there is a ton of mould. The toilet has a lot of mould problem and the toilet heater electricity is plugged into a plug which is not safe. The bed frame is very dusty. No one seems to do proper cleaning and the bottled water is chargeable. The precious OYO hotel did a better job than this new owner. Terrible.

Lee Hotel is quite a nice hotel in Yong Peng, strategic location which is very close to all major attractions, famous eateries and souvenir shops.
It was a pleasant stay, the accommodation was clean and comfortable with basic amenities, and the car parking is free in Yong Peng, plus the friendly staffs who are the owner & family members. Recommended for budget traveller!

LlogorithmExcellent! Rooms seem newly refurbished. Refreshing welcome juice and bananas are made available at the reception counter. Free drinking water and coffee/tea (free flow) are also made available for guests at all lift lobbies. Breakfast choices are excellent! My comment is that the omelette disintegrates easily, pretty hard to scope up to eat. Should be more solid. Another comment is to wash the juice glasses more thoroughly because my glass had this gross smell of saliva from the previous user(s). Also, should scrub the bathroom walls, it looks like never been scrubbed before. Or is that the tile colour?

GGuest UserBeing a budget hotel, one cannot expect too much - overall this hotel is value for money - room is basic and sp**** but spacious with acceptable cleanliness. The hotel is next to an old shopping mall ( which had seen its better days) and a supermarket named “Target” which seems to be popular with the locals. You can either park outside the hotel or at Level 3 of the indoor carpark. A simple buffet breakfast is provided in the room package - mostly of local fares which was fine for us. Great view of the city and its surrounding hills from the upper floors.

GGuest UserWe recently stayed at this hotel and the waiters we met were the friendliest we have ever seen, welcomed us very warmly and couldn't be more enthusiastic. I was just doing a research study to write a book, so the manager arranged for us a driver to take us to various places in the neighborhood. We were invited to have a halal dinner the first night, and the manager arranged for us to taste the local bibimbap the next day, which was all temporary. The hotel is spotless, very fashionable, and the price is worth it as a boutique hotel. Highly recommended, all staff fully represent the warm and friendly Malaysia!

GGuest UserWell, the front desk is friendly. The cleanliness is ok. But the bidet is leaking. Also I was not aware it doesn't have lift except the other 2 outlets. Because of my knee problem I changed the twin bed to queen bed. Definitely I will come back for my stay again.

NNature Lover68I booked this budget and basic hotel because of its location very close to Hutan Lipur Soga Perdana(4 min drive), price is affordable too. Easy to get food and Free parking, The environment was quiet and cozy, cleanliness could have been better especially the bathroom and towel(yellowish). Anyway, it was still a pleasant stay!
