The 3 *** hotel hall makes you have a wrong idea about the state of the rooms, since it is beautiful and looks good in general. In our case the room is old in decoration and with a very worn general condition. the room door had one of the broken hinges and closing it was an odyssey. Double bed is requested and room with two beds. It has no nice views to the rear. The curtains of the bathroom give it an aspect of neglect and the extra mirror was almost hanging and had some molten bulb, smells in the bathroom. We found the buffet breakfast good and complete enough. The staff attends correctly. Much to improve for a price of more than € 100 per room per night.

We love the Hotel Senator in Cadiz and always receive a warm welcome from Victor and the other member of the team there. They go out of their way to make our stay as comfortable and problem free as possible, with all our enquiries dealt with in a professional and friendly fashion. We chose this Hotel because of its location at the heart of the Old Town, plus the facilities, such as the pool and roof terrace. We've always had breakfast in the Hotel and it has never disappointed. The chef is always on hand to cook up that extra pancake, crepe or omelette if required. We always look forward to our stay at the Hotel Senator in Cadiz.

This is our absolute favourite accommodation of our recent trip to Spain. The welcome from Receptiomist Mar was lovely - it is so nice to be greeted and not have to do everything digitally! Our Studio was huge, with a neat little kitchenette that had everything to enable us to make good use of the fresh ingredients we bought at the Mercado. The patio doors opened fully and we were ale to sit and watch the world go by (and see cruise ships dock and depart) from out 3rd level vantage point, overlooking the Plaza España. At Plazuela del Carbon, you are within a 15 minute walk to all the sights, and right there in the historic part of Cafiz. We were able to walk to the bus/train/ferry station in under 10 minutes. The coffee bar in the lobby is a wonderful idea, providing us with hot and cold refreshments 24 hours a day. We give it 11 out of 10 ... we really enjoyed our stay.

Super clean and although in the centre, quiet and silence is absolute, bed and comfortable couchs. The staff is very friendly and friendly. It has 24-hour reception, which gives you security, as the neighboring streets are full of drinks and discotheques. If we return for sure we will repeat. Parking is a little difficult, but we had luck and we didn't get far away from the hostel without having to pay for parking

Hotel very central. Near garage. Large room and comfortable beds. We chose a top room and had a terrace with very beautiful views of the city center. Bars and nearby supermarkets. Taxi stop and tram in the door. The hotel is very friendly and comfortable.

WHO ARE WE: A family of four, with a 6 and 3 year old, booking two interconnecting rooms for two weeks half-board. This review is written to give helpful insights to potential guests! ARRIVAL: Arrival was fine, although there seemed to be just one bell-hop, so I commandeered a luggage trolley and moved my own things (not an impressive start to an expensive 4* hotel experience). Also note that whilst I recommend having a car, the arrivals area immediately outside the hotel is actually a ‘public road’ with parking restrictions, so you can ‘technically’ get a ticket (I’d suggest this is unlikely though, but just move your car as soon as you can!). RECEPTION & STAFF: Probably the oddest area for me. Reception staff seemed to know very little when asked about the local area, and would often give conflicting information. Pretty much none of my questions were answered properly in e-mails prior to our arrival, and I grew not to expect much from the reception staff. Hence I’be included the information in this review. Guest services seemed better able to assist, so I’d say always default to them, As a counterpoint, some staff were exceptionally good. After one polite conversation we randomly received a bottle of cava on ice per room (the one in the kids’ room did make me chuckle!). ROOMS: Our rooms were good. Air-Con was effective, which is a lifesaver! We had ground-floor rooms which opened up on to a lovely grassy area where the kids could run about (and I don’t like mixing high balconies with young ones). We found storage space to be a bit limited though, and our upstairs neighbour insisted on throwing cigarette butts over the balcony (clASSy). One DANGEROUS one point to note is that the showers in both our rooms would suddenly run scalding hot - I actually burned my scalp, as the issue was not addressed properly the first time I mentioned it. In fact, it was never properly fixed. This could have a nasty ending for children, so watch out. FOOD: The buffet-style dining was of good quality, so I would recommend. It also has a great selection of healthy foods if you get bored of fried seafood products (!) when eating out! I agree with some other reviews about the atmosphere being somewhat lacking - it can feel like you’re in a battery farm, and so a little music or more ambience wouldn’t go astray. Quite industrial in nature at the moment. I did not particularly enjoy the ‘Restaurant Manolete’ - the waitress did not know what fish constituted the ‘fried fish’, and told me to hurry up as there were many guests to serve?! Bit rude, since I just wanted to know what my child was about to eat!! The food quality there was average, and our table surrounds were not clean, so not sure on the point of that restaurant really (vs the regular buffet). Star Cafe offers a (very limited) selection of sandwiches and cakes (it closes 1330-1530 for some reason). They were generally ok, but the choice never changed, and they did not seem happy for you to take the san

Wonderful hotel and wonderful staff. From the friendly yet professional reception staff on arrival, the housekeeping team who kept the hotel spotless, too the helpfully and cheerful restaurant staff I can't fault this hotel. The gardens were gorgeous and the pools and loungers kept clean. The general tidiness and presentation of the hotel was spot on (the hotel also smelt amazing 🤷). This hotels has little details that make a difference, such as providing water on departure and the buffet policy (breakfast and dinner) of keeping the food available till everyone has left the restaurant (unlike most hotels who remove the food whilst you are still eating), these things make a difference. Food was excellent and the general ambience very agreeable. The best hotel in the area by far.
