This hotel is wildly overpriced for what it is. The room was fine, it’s dated and needs a refresh, especially the bathroom. It was fairly clean but it’s hard to tell when things are dated. The shower had mold in the grout. There is no free breakfast. They did have free popcorn which I thought was a cool idea. The room was quiet and conveniently located. It is walkable to a few restaurants.

NOT for families. The property is dated, the pool is NOT heated, the flatbread was undercooked, the meatballs were terrible. On the plus side, all the staff were friendly! I am typically a business traveler and almost always stay at Courtyards. This is my first, and LAST, stay at a Courtyard for a family stay with toddlers. I am a Marriott fan and always select Marriott for work travel. This property was disappointing. Why have such a small indoor pool that is NOT heated!! Either heat it or don't have one!!

Poor value for money; much too expensive for this low quality of a hotel. In addition, the air conditioner in our room did not work for half of the night and it was quite unbearable. The breakfast wasn’t even complimentary. The pillow on the bed had the shape of a head indent in it as if someone had laid on it after making the bed. Overall, it’s a budget hotel experience for way too high of a price. If it was priced more appropriately then it would have been a better rating. We weren’t looking for a luxury experience, it is obviously just a stopover night hotel, but given the high price we thought we could expect more. Or at least a cleaner room with working air conditioner.

It’s a cookie-cutter Courtyard. Easy, fast check-in. Clean room, comfortable bed, plenty of plugs to charge our devices. The lighting in the sink area is awful—bad for man’s needs and worse for a woman’s. There were some small rusted areas in the corner of the shower; not gross, but in need of work. Overall, this hotel is fine, but overpriced at 39,000 Bonvoy points.

Front desk worker was difficult to find when trying to check in. She seemed put out when I asked for extra pillows. The hallway smelled like pot. The bartender/cook was very accommodating and cooked pretty good food and made good drinks which was awesome after a long day traveling.

I stay in Marriott brand hotels as much as possible. This was a one night stay on the way to our destination. The positives include the room was very clean. It is convenient off and on the highway. The disappointments however did out weight the good. The staff wasn't rude but were not helpful either. Our room had sustained water damage from the ceiling. Although it had not yellowed yet, it was bubbling and peeling. For some reason they had cut out a 2x3 section of the carpet and layed another piece there. It wasn't tacked down--tripping hazard. I mentioned this to the morning clerk and he said I don't know what you are talking about and that was it. If we choose to stop in Beckley on our way next year, we will not be staying here.
