We enjoyed our stay,staff were very helpful and friendly,our evening meal in the restaurant was excellent.We would go back there. Room was very quirky but nice.

A very nice stay, a beautiful building with well decorated rooms (quirky but cool). High quality at a reasonable price. The staff was very helpful, and the food good, if a little bit slow on a Saturday night. We really enjoyed our stay and will stay again if we’re in the area.

Attractive hotel in a quiet but central location on one of the nicest avenues in Bedford. Very nice bar area with a great restaurant. Room was large with a comfortable bed. Could do with a bit of tlc as starting to look a bit shabby. The room had been divided by a plaster board wall and you could literally hear everything from the adjoining room which made us feel uncomfortable. The first night there was someone coughing all night and the second night a couple were having fun rather loudly. Was very happy they were having a great time but è could have done without it. Breakfast was fab with a great choice. Overall a decent stay in a nice hotel let down by the noise. Definitely needs a room makeover including sound proofing.

Nice place to recover during a business trip. Rooms are nice and confortable. Good choice of beer and food in the pub below. Very good breakfast!

Lovely man welcomed us on arrival and was very helpful. big bedroom with a sofa so didn't have to sit on the bed. Liked the quirky décor. Bed very comfortable. Delicious breakfast. I booked the hotel last minute and only stayed one night so wasn't really an issue however I have arthritis in my wrists and knees which means I couldn't get in/out of the free sanding bath so therefore couldn't take a bath or a shower.

Pleasant rooms with separate bath and toilet cubicle (plus sink). Clean and comfortable for a short break. The mattress was a bit soft for our taste.
Breakfast is excellent - the landlady (I presume) came round on the first morning to check that things were spot on for us.

I like the "shabby chic" decor, but one or two areas needed some attention. The staff were very friendly and efficient.
