Furama Hotel Beihai Reviews

The reception staff is very helpful, although more English-speaking staff would be advisable as most of the staff does not speak English and it is a 5star hotel. I would like to mention Lisa who speaks English and was very helpful, providing useful information regarding hotel facilities, Covid test places and places of interest. Big up to Lisa! The breakfast buffet is okay, but the pastry choice is a bit limited and, generally, it feels that the hotel does not really cater for western guests (mainly Chinese dishes). The buffet lounge is full of light; it is very spacious and facing the seaside, which is great. However, the cleanliness can be improved as the tables and the floor were not cleaned quickly enough, and my table and the floor under it were greasy/dirty. The facilities are quite varied. The pools, gym, tennis court, steam room were used during my stay and they were in good condition. The steam room takes a long time to heat up though. The staff in the gym/swimming pool does not speak English at all. The table tennis room and some other facilities were under maintanace during our stay, so we did not use them. Overall, the hotel has more recreational facilities than most hotels. Well done! Regarding the location, the hotel is on the coast, but the sea is not swimmable there, so you can only enjoy the view. The hotels near the main Silver beach (for example, Crowne Plaza) are considerably more expensive (about 500rmb difference), so a 30-min taxi ride there (costs around 30 rmb one way) still makes the Furama hotel a much more economical option. The sea view from the rooms is very nice! Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and a late checkout was highly appreciated! My rating of the hotel is 4.5.

The hotel is large and beautifully decorated. The rooms were spacious, clean and had a great view over the sea. There is a small beach downstairs from the hotel and the old street is around 15 minutes walk away. However, there aren't that many restaurants close to the hotel. Breakfast was great as we're the gym and swimming pool. Big thankyou to Lincoln who really went out of his way to help on my stay and even assisted in booking tickets.

Friendly and quite clean

This hotel is great. The staff go out of their way to serve you however they can and in English. The only downfall of the hotel, was that they don’t have a game room, they close the golf area and the bowling staff member were very rude. He reset three games before we finished and basically just laughed at us. He works at a bowling alley, but didn’t understand or know that you play ten rounds. Apart from this member of staff laughing at us. recommend staying at this hotel. But don’t expect to be able to use any of the entertainment facilities in the hotel.

I was on a business trip to Beihai and visited Weizhou Island. When I returned to Beihai, I stayed at Furama Hotel. The deluxe sea view room had a wide view of the sea and sky. The breakfast was rich, a combination of Chinese and Western food, and tasted good.

Good location, close to the old street, you can walk there if you don't take a taxi. The sea view is good, and the hotel door card can enter and exit the pier freely. The service is good, whether it is the front desk staff or the room attendant, all the waiters I have come into contact with have very good attitudes. On the birthday, the hotel also gave a cake to celebrate, a small surprise. The hotel has complete facilities. Although I didn't enjoy them much, I was satisfied just looking at them.

The hotel is relatively new, the rooms are spacious and bright, and the view facing the sea is very good. The underground floor leads directly to the beach viewing trail. However, the weather has been bad recently, and visibility is relatively poor. It is less than two kilometers to the old town and you can walk. It takes about 20 minutes to drive to Silver Beach, which is very convenient. The hotel facilities are complete, and the room facilities are very comfortable, in line with the settings of a five-star hotel. The bathtub is very convenient to put on a bathtub cover. There is a gym and two swimming pools. We went to play table tennis and went to the indoor swimming pool to swim. The water was very comfortable. Before going swimming, I told the front desk that there were no rubber slippers. The waiter responded quickly and delivered them to the room in time. The waiter is of good quality, professional, polite and thoughtful. The front desk explained the instructions in detail, and the concierge was enthusiastic and proactive. 👍 The room is very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is very rich and the products are good. The waiter is also very responsible, cleans up in time, and the details are done very well.

Facing the sea, the hotel facilities are also very complete. Although there are not many guests, the service is quite thoughtful. I don't know why, I have checked out, but the 500 yuan deposit is not refunded.

The hotel is located in the city center, surrounded by a complete range of food and shopping, with a reasonable design. The above-ground and underground parking lots are large and convenient. The room is on a high floor with a first-class sea view. The TV 📺 can be rotated, so you can take a bath and watch TV. What is unreasonable is that there is no isolation or place next to the bathtub to drain the water. When you take a bath, water is everywhere. This is a bad review.

The location is very good, very close to the Oceanarium and the Old Street, and there is a beach downstairs with its own lawn sports. The hotel service is very good, whether it is the concierge, front desk, guest room or sports club downstairs. I had a great vacation here.

The staff are very enthusiastic. Check-in was slow during the Chinese New Year, but we were arranged to go rock climbing to kill time. After we checked in, a handsome guy with glasses and his children came to the lobby to deliver the room card and take us to the room. His attitude was very good. You can go to the beach and plank road downstairs by swiping the room card. There are several peacocks in the garden, and they spread their tails when they see people. The suite I booked is quite large and warm, but it's a pity that there is no balcony. The breakfast is very rich and the seafood porridge is very fresh! I think it's very good to have such hardware and software in Beihai! I hope I will have a better experience if I have the opportunity to come again in the future!

The hotel is near Beihai Golden Beach. You can use your room card to go directly to the beach behind the hotel. There are few people, but the beach quality is average. It is close to Beihai Old Street and Beihai Ocean Park is near the hotel. It is very suitable for families with children. The hotel room layout is reasonable and the service is also very enthusiastic. Bath products and slippers for children can be provided. The hotel breakfast variety is quite rich. It may be that there are more people traveling during off-peak hours recently, so the breakfast is a bit chaotic, but everything else is OK.

The overall environment of the hotel is good. You can enjoy the sea view in the room. The service staff in the lobby are relatively warm and friendly, but this is only one side. Be careful to experience the entertainment projects downstairs in the hotel. The specific reasons are as follows: 1️⃣ The entertainment projects are free, and the gift rules are not perfect. I communicated with the waiter about the projects to play, but the waiter said he didn't understand, resulting in a waste of experience time. 2️⃣ The waiter's mood and attitude are unfriendly, and he will fight back and put the responsibility on the customer, saying that the customer did not make it clear. 3️⃣ The way the waiter solves the problem is to give a free experience of another entertainment project, hoping to solve the problem of this work error. The reason is as in the second point, and the responsibility is the customer. Finally, attach a picture of the missing ball of the snooker billiards under the hotel. The ball that the waiter placed was missing, and one was not solved. In the actual game, it was found that the table height was different, and the experience was extremely poor.

There is a dedicated beach and children's playground, which is OK for taking kids out for a walk. The hardware is a little poor and a little old. Fortunately, the soft aspects such as service can be redeemed to a certain extent. The service staff are relatively friendly and enthusiastic. Especially when we saw a child breaking tableware during breakfast, the waiter went over to ask if there was any damage. Relatively speaking, it is still quite good.
