Aloft Hotels in Beijing

Hotel very good location, MRT in front of the hotel easily to get Taxi or train. Staff can call taxi for you. Room was clean and the bed very big, in the winter you must book the room with windows because the air-conditioned in the room can't be lower than 23 degree (in case you feel like need airtime).opposite the hotel have noodles restaurant, bakery shop and fruits , grocery shops, if you walk a little more you will see McDonald's, KFC , New world Shopping mall. Next time I will stay here again.

The location of this hotel is just great! The first impression is stunning, classical building close to many shopping streets and also not far from some major attractions. The staff and service is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are big and clean. I would come back at any time!

Location is very central easy reach to amenities, close to the metro and with walking distance to forbidden city. Not very clean, under the bed is dirty there ear buds dust bottle of medication. Reception staff are helpful comparing to other hotels staff that I stayed in in China Breakfast is extremely limited with low quality bakery, dumplings are not labelled whether they have meat or pork….etc. Plates and cups in plastic. Overall this hotels is not that bad comparing to other 4 star hotels in China

We request for early checkin at 10am and the hotel allow us without any additional cost. At first, light in the room kept turning on and off and the bell kept ringing. The receptionist changed the room for us immediately and gave us breakfast voucher as complimentary. The receptionists are helpful even they cannot speak english. We use translator to communicate. Overall cleanliness is fine but the toilet is sometimes smelly.

The location of the hotel is good - very near to Chongwenmen station. Surrounding the hotel are malls and many eateries. The room was very big and spacious which is good. Very clean too.

The hotel's only good trait is that it's close to the forbidden city and Wangfuijing shopping district. We were checked into a totally different room than we booked. It was like getting cat fished by a hotel. The hotel is quite stingy with its amenities. Asked for bottled water at the reception, they said they're only selling. I asked them if I could get some free bottled water, but was told they'll send it to my room. I wasn't going back to my room for the bottled water to come as I was leaving. My friend asked for water from her room, they didn't agree to send some right away, but instead continued to ask if there wasn't any in her room. We were mostly unsatisfied with our stay as the room did not match at all with the pictures on the Trip app. The breakfast buffet wasn't that good, it didn't live up to its expensive cost. And the concierge basically scammed us of RMB 183 for a taxi ride to the airport from the hotel, we could see that it only amounted to RMB 65-70 to the airport from the cab's meter. It was also my friend's birthday, so I asked if the hotel offers any complimentary cakes and asked them to bring it at 6pm. They said okay, but nothing arrived at 6pm. So I called them again and they transferred me to 4 different people until someone finally understood basic English and told me that I should've asked for the cake earlier, which I did right after we checked in. The hotel's staff does not do well with communicating internally. Somehow I expected good service as it was a Novotel hotel, but was left highly disappointed.

Staff at Sofitel Beijing are welcoming and service level you can expect are on par with other 5 star international hotel brands around the world (although this is definitely not the case everywhere in China). There are numerous hotels in Beijing to chose from, but I have decided to come back to the Sofitel everytime, simply because I know I will get the same level of service and etiquette. A special shout out to Clarey and Leah for their professionalism and customer service which made my stay that much more enjoyable. The deluxe rooms are very very generally sized and the suites on the top floors have some of the largest floor space in my experience. One downside of a nice, fancy, modern decor is that it uses many different materials and does not hide general wear and tear well, leaving scratches and scrapes that looks worse than it is. Comfort level of the hotel is definitely the main draw card. Makes it difficult to want to leave the hotel. But the subway is a 5 min walk if you want to get around during peak hour to avoid traffic congestion, otherwise getting around with DiDi or taxis are fairly cheap where ever you go with the hotel’s location.

I particularly appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as the complimentary bottled water and the well-stocked tea and coffee station. Exceptional Service: What truly sets this hotel apart is its exceptional staff. They were incredibly friendly, helpful, and always went above and beyond to ensure my stay was as comfortable as possible. I must specifically commend their honesty and efficiency. After I accidentally left a necklace in my room, they promptly contacted me and arranged for its safe return. This act of kindness truly exemplified their commitment to guest satisfaction. Beyond Expectations: The Manxin Hotel Wangfujing exceeded my expectations in every way. It's a perfect blend of modern comfort, traditional charm, and outstanding service. Whether you're visiting Beijing for business or leisure, I highly recommend this hotel for an unforgettable experience.
