DoubleTree by Hilton Beijing

Beijing West Railway Station Area
Excellent location with the Rainbow mall next to hotel and another smaller mall close by. Metro is also a few minutes away so easy to navigate the sights of Beijing. Much appreciation to Elaine in particular and also Mark who worked in the restaurant and assisted my sister during breakfast. She has strict dietary restrictions and they both ensured she had plenty of food and it was suitable for her needs, so thank you both! Hotel lobby and hallways are attractive but room is run down and could do with renovation, the age is showing, however it was manageable for 4 nights. Bedding was changed after two nights, that was appreciated. For 200 extra per night, I added breakfast for two and we had evening snacks/smaller dinner in the executive lounge which was great value. Overall it wouldn’t be my first choice because of the room but customer service from the restaurant and location were both superb!

Jinsong and Panjiayuan Area
The hotel is on the edge of the East Third Ring Road, with rooms on the 15th to 26th floors. Breakfast is on the high 27th floor with a great view. The room is great! The floor is high and very quiet~ The floor is cleaned very cleanly, and the duty manager Alan is very polite. The best value for money in Beijing Facilities: 🌬 The toothbrushes are of super good quality🪥 There are also drinks and snacks, which are free in the room🆓 Hygiene: The room is very clean and you won't get dirty even if you walk barefoot Service: Responsive, Alan's service is nice~ Environment: Love this decoration, wooden furniture. I haven't slept on a bed with curtains for a long time. The sound insulation is also very good and you won't be disturbed👍
DoubleTree by Hilton Beijing Badaling

Yanqing Resort Area
The hotel was really nice and the rooms were spacious and clean. 30 mins taxi to Chinese Great Wall. The staff was nice however most did not speak English, yet had a good translator machine to help. However in an international 4 star branch hotel I would expect front staff to be required to possess better English skills. Yet the general manager did speak very well English and always would come up to us to greet and talk so that was a major plus. Only minor thing is that the room service food was stated in the room menu cart to be available until 23.00 yet the kitchen closes at 21.00 apparently. However the staff helped us directly to order food to the hotel. So just some minor things that could be worked on but overall a great hotel.
