Good location near the entrance of Gubei Water Town. Bought the hotel package with breakfast and complimentary tickets to hot spring and ticket entrance to Gubei town. Beautiful room with good choices of breakfast. Swimming pool looks good but the ladies shower head and sprinkler needs to be repaired and have shower curtain for more privacy. There should be an attendant in locker room to assist in sauna, jacuzzi and heater room. There is only one hair dryer. In addition there is no lifeguard nor anyone to tell that the swimming tube needs to pay rmb 20 each (I can't read Chinese) even though a man that appeared suddenly from nowhere at swimming pool told me much later about it. Overall, it's a good experience.

I hated this hotel because the air conditioning was the worst I’ve experienced in my whole life. I was in Beijing during summer and to pay an expensive price for a room that did not have proper air conditioning was torture. The reason it was so hot is because the hotel is intentionally centrally controlling Aircon and refusing to lower the temperature to save cost. When I complained about the heat, they only gave me a fan. In addition, the breakfast is horrible. Everything tasted disgusting because the food is not fresh. Also the staff, don’t speak any English. They don’t even understand the word “Check In”. Avoid this hotel.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Waterfront. Location was right at the Gubei scenic location. Room is luxurious and clean. Room booking also entitles us to a free onsen which we thoroughly enjoyed. Appreciated the free town shuttle as well. Highly recommended:)

very satisfied with this trip and stay. huge hotel and comfortable! from outside look like a fortress but inside is nice and comfortable. bath water wash hair very smooth, look like it is real spring water. highly recommended!

Stay for 2 nights, hotel is clean and the breakfast is delicious especially the fried rice. Easy and convenient go in Gubei Watertown.

The concierge was professional but not welcoming, however the express service for any room service request was excellent. The staff will arrive within 2 minutes everytime I have a request and it is the fastest service I have experienced.

Very nice hotel, very clean rooms, and well appointed. The staff were lovely and had translator devices at hand for English speakers. For westerners, what’s not explained in the hotel description. is that while this hotel is outside the ‘scenic area ’, it’s a two minute walk to the front entrance. And my advise is while room check in is at 3pm once you arrive go check in, as while they may not be able to give you your room keys they will add you to the facial recognition ticketing system which means you can come and go to the scenic area as many times as you wish. If you, like me, arrive early thinking it’s too early to check in and buy a ticket at the counter, you can only go in once, and once your out, your out, unless you pay again. Hope this helps people. Also the hotel pool is massive., the outside pool seems to be not in use. And also bring a swim cap, or buy one at the pool reception.

The hotel package including entrance ticket, onsen and unlimited bus rides is a steal. Highly recommended.

Highly recommended Watertown Hotel. Gubei Town entrance just opposite hotel, very easy & convenient go in as it is 24hrs unlimited access & free shuttle bus service are provided. Our stay comes with onsen, this really made our day, we were overly enjoyed. Come Gubei Town, stay at Water Town, onsen at 上城, you will not regret!!!

Nice hotel, right in front of the Gubei entrance. Breakfast is good and room is ok. With this price I can enter the town multiple times without any charges. It’s better if the hotel can provide shuttle services to the bus station
