This entire stay was a nightmare. I'm providing an objective and complete account for everyone to reference and avoid. I checked in and entered the room at 10:40 PM. Beijing is currently experiencing a continuous heatwave. Everything seemed normal before bed. Less than two hours after falling asleep, I was awakened by the stuffy heat around 3 AM. I repeatedly set the air conditioning to 18 degrees, but it had no cooling effect whatsoever. By morning, the room was still nearly 30℃, making it hard to breathe. Only after contacting the front desk did I learn the truth: the building management turns off the central air conditioning at night; it wasn't a faulty room unit. They simply sent up a small electric fan as a temporary solution. While doing laundry, I chatted with a staff member who told me, 'All hotels in Beijing are like this at night, just bear with it.' I then requested a discount on the room rate and an early check-out due to the non-functional air conditioning. The hotel only agreed to a 30% discount and repeatedly promised that the air conditioning wouldn't be shut off again that night. At the time, I had a lot of luggage, and my child wasn't feeling well, so moving around was out of the question. Plus, the hotel guaranteed normal cooling at night, and I saw the AC briefly working again in the morning, so I decided to stay. I intended to rest and catch up on sleep. I had just fallen asleep when the front desk called the room directly and woke me up. They changed their tune, bluntly suggesting I move out that day, openly admitting that building management would still turn off the central AC during the night shift handover, and it would remain stuffy at night. Their statements flip-flopped, and their attitude was extremely cold. After a stuffy night with no proper rest, and then being forcibly awakened by a phone call, I was physically and mentally exhausted. I decisively switched to another hotel that day. I stayed for several more nights at the new hotel, and the air conditioning ran perfectly fine throughout the night; there was no such thing as 'all hotels in Beijing turn off their AC at night.' The most unacceptable part wasn't just the lack of air conditioning at night, but the hotel management's contradictory statements, poor communication, and easily broken promises. They used deceptive language to appease me and keep me there, only to inform me later, after I had settled in, that basic accommodation conditions couldn't be guaranteed. They showed no consideration for the guest's perspective. In hot weather, air conditioning is the most fundamental guarantee for a comfortable stay. If stable cooling cannot be provided, guests should be informed proactively beforehand, rather than being woken up by the heat late at night and having their energy drained by back-and-forth negotiations. Traveling with a child, I was hoping for a hassle-free trip, but instead, I got no sleep all night. I do not recommend staying here during the summer heatwave. Those looking for stable air conditioning at night should choose carefully.

The overall decor is simple yet elegant, with soft, non-glaring lighting. Power outlets are conveniently placed throughout the room, and the common areas are clean and tidy. The elevator is odorless. The staff are uniformly well-trained; they greet you proactively and provide gentle, appropriate service. The entire experience was comfortable and relaxing.
