Unbeatable location within 5 minutes from Shichahai subway station and 5-10 minutes walk to very entertaining business and entertainment walking streets around the lake and E Gulou St Maybe 45 minutes walk to the Forbidden Palace. I stayed in the one single room in the hostel. The room is so small it only fits a comfortable twin bed with just enough room to put your shoes at end of the bed. There's a storage box above the bed for a small backpack and clothes. The only shared showers are in the basement. There are toilets and sinks on the second level and basement. Good aircon and Wifi. They don't provide towel, shampoo, or soap. Google Maps and Trip.com map shows the walking route from the subway through a series of narrow Hutong alleys. If you follow the map route, you will find the hostel easily. If not, you will certainly get lost.

Room: The bedding is very neat and clean, the decoration is also simple, but everything is there, the bathroom is independent, I stayed in a female 4-person room, it was very comfortable Location: The location is great, right outside is Yandaixiexiang, which leads to Houhai, it's very lively, I think Yandaixiexiang is better to visit than Nanluoguxiang

They are not completely unavoidable in the current environment, but they are not done well now. They are roughly as follows: 1. Maybe because of the thermal expansion and contraction in summer, the door is very tight and difficult to open and close properly, resulting in a lot of noise, which means that every time the door is opened and closed, it is likely to wake up everyone in the room. This is an unforgivable problem in a multi-person room. 2. The climbing frame of the bed can only be grasped on one side, and the other side is connected to the baffle at the end of the bed. Each time you go up and down, you can only use one hand to exert force, which is not safe enough. 3. There is a large beam very close to the ladder between the two upper bunks in my room. It is easy to hit your head. I hit it twice in one night. Moreover, because of this beam blocking the curtain, the bed curtain can only be drawn halfway, and the light blocking and privacy are affected. As shown in the picture. 4. I understand that the room is small, but at least give me a place to open the suitcase. My 18-inch suitcase blocked the door when it was spread on the floor. Fortunately, no one came back at that time. 5. The flushing force of the bathroom is not strong enough. When I went there at night, both squat toilets were dirty. The excrement could not be flushed away, resulting in a strong smell. I have stayed in youth hostels many times. I was confident that I was a quality guest. I would try not to disturb others' rest when I left early or came back late. But this time, because the door was too loud and the bed was difficult to climb, the four of us almost always disturbed each other. I am very sorry for this. I also hope that the store can try to improve and give everyone a quiet and comfortable environment.

However, the hostel is in an alley, so it is a bit difficult to find (just follow the navigation). But what’s interesting is that Trip.com’s price here is even more expensive than the domestic version. If you want it cheaper, it is recommended to scan the QR code to pay on other platforms or directly at the counter. As for the bed, the space is really small. This depends very much on the quality of your tenants. In our room, there were two European and American people who traveled to the mainland, and their sleeping hours were pretty fixed, so the experience was not bad.

This hostel has a great location. It is next to the Drum Tower, Nanluoguxiang, Shichahai, Yandajie, and is also a gathering place for delicious food.
