We were upgraded by Ctrip to stay in De YueLou inn, instead of SiLk road inn which is closed. The stay in Deyue lou in was excellent. Thanks Ctrip!! So the is review is written for Deyue lou inn, not Silk Road inn The husband and wife team are great cooks, fit for 5 star restaurant. Fish and pork as well as brinjal are a must try! Location is central and easy to walk to famous attractions in Gubei. Breakfast is abundant and plentiful. Very filling! Gubei is a peaceful town and tranquility is much appreciated after the hustle and bustle of Beijing! I love simetei Great Wall and is so beautiful especially at night. Awesome and breathtaking views of water town and Great Wall. Highly recommend Deyue lou inn

Very nice place to visit Gubei Water Town and Simatai great wall. It should be noted that the chek-in and services are handled from the Gubei Water Town Touristic Center (including luggage transfer, ticket for the village…). The only remark is you should notice that the breakfast is typical chinese breakfast. It is perfectly located and clean. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Good hotel, clean accommodations, breakfast is not much but the rice porridge and bean curd are very delicious.

The hotel is located near the entrance of the ancient town, a little closer than Nalan. There is a convenience store at the entrance, which is quite convenient. I booked it late during the holiday and didn't book the hotel in the scenic area. This is also a good cost-effective choice. The price is much cheaper than that in the scenic area. The room has the necessary facilities, but the wooden floor in the corridor is a bit noisy.

This hotel is a great value for money!! I'm so glad I found this hotel, it felt like I was staying in a 5 star hotel, the room was huge, the bed was so comfortable I didn't want to wake up, I felt like an emperor, breakfast and tickets were included, luggage delivery was included, and I could go in and out of town all the time ~ I was so lucky!

The house is very close to the scenic spot, the night view is beautiful at night, the price includes the entrance ticket to the scenic spot, free shuttle bus, and free breakfast! Drone show and dining are very convenient! Will come again next time!

The room was full, so Ctrip upgraded to Mulan Inn, which is right at the entrance of the scenic spot, which is extremely convenient. The hotel is well-equipped, clean and tidy, with a rich breakfast. It was a great experience

The sanitary conditions are very good, the towels are white and new, and the waiter's attitude is also very kind.

The location is excellent. You can take a bus to Gubei and get there after crossing the bridge. It is very convenient and you don't have to walk far with your luggage. It is five minutes away from the entrance of the scenic area and it is also very convenient to walk there.

Upgrade to Zhenshui Inn. In the center of the scenic spot, there are small bridges and flowing water with people's houses, comfortable sleeping environment, enthusiastic proprietress, and a great experience.

It's super convenient here, the house is not inside the ancient town but is under the management of the ancient town so entrance fees are discounted, you can go in and out many times just need to scan your face. The room is very large, there is a lot of hot water, but the hair dryer turns off every 2 minutes, then it takes about 2 minutes before it can be used again, then turns off again, then turns on, then turns off 🥹, I have this problem because of my group. My daughter washed her hair so she couldn't finish drying it, but everything else was fine, clean and beautiful. Free breakfast, it's super rich, each person gets 1 portion but the 3 of us can only eat 1 portion because it's too much, delicious. The leaves next to the house are very beautiful.
