Prime Hotel Wangfujing (The Forbidden City)

Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights~ From the moment we checked in, staff members were enthusiastically helping with our luggage. The hotel had a lovely scent as soon as we entered, and the entire lobby had a very 'old money' vibe. I loved the colors and lighting. It was also very artistic, and there's a small art gallery on the first floor that you can visit. Our room was also very new and clean with a great view. We had two rooms; one overlooked the National Art Museum, and the other had a view of Beijing's tallest building. A big thank you to the staff for even upgrading one of our rooms! 🥹 Plus, the hotel is close to many popular attractions like the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, and Guozijian. Getting around was super convenient. Highly recommend, I'll definitely stay here again next time!

The location is great, very close to major attractions like the Forbidden City. The room layout is decent; although not large, it has everything you need, including a bathtub and a full-length mirror. The housekeeping staff provides good service; they occasionally leave a note to remind guests to remove the 'do not disturb' sign if they've forgotten. However, the breakfast was the same for all four days of my stay, which could definitely be improved.

The room was clean and tidy, well-equipped, and the bedding was soft, ensuring a very restful sleep. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, making the check-in process efficient. The location is excellent, convenient for travel, with a wide variety of dining options nearby. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and plenty of hot water. The overall environment was quiet, without any disturbing noise. It offers outstanding value for money, thoughtful details, and a very comfortable stay. I would definitely choose this hotel again when I'm in the area next time. Highly recommended!

I think this is the most cost-effective hotel in Beijing at this price point. After all, hotels under Huazhu in Beijing usually cost several hundred. Among hotels priced around 1,000 yuan, this one has my favorite and most modern decor. I dislike those run-down hotels. This place has both an old-money vibe and modern design, plus the transportation around is very convenient.

Upon check-in, I noticed a minor cleanliness issue, which the room manager handled promptly and courteously. However, a day after checking out, I realized I had left behind a hairdryer. What's puzzling is that the hotel didn't contact me proactively after completing the room check and refunding my deposit on the same day. I had to call them, repeatedly confirm my booking, and describe the lost item's location several times before it was finally found. Aside from these two incidents, the hotel's location is excellent and convenient for transportation. The room was spacious, and the bedding was comfortable. The food delivery robot and the outdoor delivery lockers were definite pluses. The executive lounge staff provided good service, and you could enjoy the sunset, but the food, especially the drinks, was quite limited. The soundproofing of the windows facing the street was very poor.

Exceeded expectations! The hotel has a discreet exterior, but the interior is understated and clean, with good service. The only downside was the breakfast, which I didn't get to try, but I heard it was a bit pricey. This place is definitely more reliable than some of the 4-5 star hotels around Wangfujing that hike their prices to 1200 on weekends. The four complimentary small bottles of water were a bit sparse, and I had to ask for refills several times, though they were always provided free of charge, which was a bit inconvenient. I'm not sure why the mini-bar Cokes were priced at 20 yuan for a 3.5 can – I doubt anyone actually buys them, they seem more like a prop. Is this pricing meant to highlight their 'five-star service'? Overall, it's a good place with convenient access, and I didn't encounter any major issues!

Checking in was a breeze, thanks to Kelly from the front desk. She warmly introduced me to the hand-purifying ritual and the evening essential oils, striking a perfect balance of being enthusiastic and professional. Her polite and professional demeanor made me feel right at home. Every staff member I encountered exemplified the professionalism and high standards one expects from a Waldorf Astoria. The breakfast was lavish with a wide variety of choices, offering both à la carte and buffet options. Unfortunately, my stay was too short this time, so I didn't get to experience the spa. I'll definitely choose this hotel again on my next trip to Beijing.
